Aaron and Laura Wedding - May 3 2009

Hey, we picked up our wedding bands and Laura's engagement ring this week. Exciting times.

Also, since I haven't updated in a little while, should also let you know that Laura's Pampered Chef Shower was a huge success! Laura is very excited to have so many friends and family to support us, and care that we eat well. Very important haha!

We are finished our gift registry, and as some people have asked, I would also like to let you know we couldn't get a registry at IKEA, they don't have them. Though we are wanting to get essential furniture there (ie: a bed, dresser, and couch). So we are accepting gift cards for IKEA instead of registered gifts.

Hey just wanted to send a quick thank-you to everyone who came and supported us by having fun at our engagement party. potluck dinners are always fun!!!

So I have officially booked the hall today, looks like we will be having an outdoor ceremony in Ancaster, at the Old Mill at 4pm, followed by a cocktail reception.

On Friday, Laura and I went to the Canada's Bridal Show. My work has a booth there so we got in for free with exhibitor passes. The whole thing was overwhelming to say the least. Anyway, we saw this dj booth that had a gimmick they were using for a chance to win a discount on a booking. It was a phone-booth shaped box with paper money in it that blew around. I tried it just for fun, but we won a free dj! We got tons of ideas and it really helped us get an idea of what we like and dislike.

Yesterday Laura and i made a trip to Hamliton to look at a potential banquet hall and church. We are considering The Old Mill in Ancaster.
