Our wedding will take place at Hotel Posada Carmina in San Miguel de Allende. We have blocked the entire hotel for our guests on Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th, 2009. Hotel Posada Carmina is a restored colonial house from the 18th century, with a great location only a few steps from the main square and cathedral. It is located next to the number "4" on the San Miguel map in the "San Miguel de Allende Info" tab to the left.

Please call or email the hotel to reserve a room right away. Please let them know the dates you will be staying, what type of room you will need, and how many people will be staying in the room. Please note that since the hotel is next to the cathedral, you may hear the bells going off. If this is a concern to you, please request that you would like one of the rooms towards the back of the hotel. The rates are below, and are in Mexican pesos. **Please make sure to let them know you are a guest of the Campbell/Pelinka wedding. You will receive an email confirmation of your reservation. If you do not receive a confirmation, please let me know. **NOTE: the online reservation system on their website has not been functioning properly, please email them or call them to make a reservation.

You may pay for your room at the end of your stay, but they may ask for your credit card number to reserve the room. You WILL NOT need to send a deposit to their Bank of America account to hold your room. If your email confirmation states this, please disregard it.

I would recommend paying with cash (in pesos) at the end of your stay, because you will receive a better rate paying in pesos, since the exchange rate at the hotel is not going to be the best rate. Also, if you pay with cash, you will receive a 10% discount. There is an ATM within one block of the hotel in the main square.  I have found that this is the best way to get cash, as the bank rates are the best, and there is only a small fee for an international ATM withdrawal compared to some exchange houses with a fee and lower rate. All room rates include taxes and breakfast per person. The current exchange rate the hotel is offering is 14 Pesos to 1 US Dollar. Therefore, here are the approximate prices per room per night (without the 10% discount):
