Tammy and I met in 7th grade home-ec class. I thought she was loud, and she thought I was weird. Somehow we still ended up hitting it off, and became best friends! Tam and I have traveled to Mexico City, throughout Europe, and to wild and crazy Lucan and Vesta Minnesota (which was also quite an adventure)! She is an incredibly considerate, fun, and loyal friend. I am so happy that she is my maid of honor, because I know she'll make the whole experience even better!
I met Pat in seventh grade at Nicollet Junior High. When Pat got his first red Camero, I helped him install his stereo system and we listened to it in the garage all day because we weren't old enough yet to drive. When we finally got our license, we would cruise around all the time with the music blasting. One time, he let me drive his car alone around the block. I did a burnout when he was out of sight, and Pat could hear it from his house. When I got back, Pat yelled at me and said I could never drive his car again. And he wasn't kidding! Pat is a great friend. He is very giving and fun to be around.
Megan and I also met in 7th grade. She may have been wearing a Tigger sweatshirt and I may have been wearing Vans sneakers with GenX pants when we met . Megs and I were roomates for three years in Saint Paul, during our hectic college days at the University of Minnesota, and had a a great time! Megan has the biggest heart of anyone I know. She is so caring, a great listener, and a blast to be around. I'm so excited she is one of my bridesmaids, especially because I know I can count on her to dance the whole night with me!
Travis and I are brothers. Even though he is the second favorite, we are brothers. We are brothers. Growing up, Travis taught me everything I know about dating girls, whether that was a good idea or not. One night, I was going over to a girl's house, and I asked Travis, "what should I say?" and he said "tell her "you're pretty" in Spanish, 'Eres bonita.'" I tried it, and it did not work. But I still love him, and he's a great brother. If I ever need anything, I know he will be there.
Lindsay and I have known each other since 4th grade. The first time I went over to her house we decided to attach a wagon to a bike with a long rope. I rode the bike down a big hill while she rode on the wagon, which began swaying from side to side. I thought she was yelling "faster" instead of "stop," and she ended up jumping off the wagon because she was terrified (resulting in a bad scrape). I earned her trust back and she somehow forgave me and we've been great friends since then. Lindsay is extremely honest, intelligent, and levelheaded. Linds will make such a great bridesmaid, especially because she'll keep everyone laughing with her great sense of humor.
Jeremy has always been fearless. One day I was walking home from elementary school when all of a sudden I see my dad's car driving down the street. He pulled over and I jumped in. To my surprise, it wasn't my dad, it was Jeremy (who was only 13 years old at the time). He gave me a ride around the block, then home. I was scared. Jeremy is very loyal and helpful brother. I have a great time watching Nascar with him.
Sarah and I met on me and Nate's second date. We went over to her and Travis' first house to help paint, although we didn't get much painting done! Our mutual love of art and Mexico definitely connected us right away! Sarah is one of the most creative people I know. She is a very dedicated and thoughtful friend. I can't wait to have Sarah as one of my bridesmaids because I know she'll enjoy San Miguel de Allende more than anyone and also because she'll offer so many ideas to the wedding. I am also looking forward to having such a wonderful and fun sister-in-law to share our future family events and experiences!
Brandon is my little brother, and will always be my little brother. Brandon was my practice buddy for every sport I ever played. We practiced rain or shine and in the snow. One day, we were playing basketball, and I got mad because Brandon fouled me and wouldn't admit it, so I meant to kick the basketball over the house so he would have to get it. Instead, it was a line drive in the front window, and I blame him for that. I can always count on Brandon, he's always willing to help, and he's a great movie trivia teammate.
Ben and I met while I was attending Gustavus Adolphus College. We instantly became ultimate dance partners (sorry Nate, but it's true). Ben may be a vampire and hiss at you from time to time, but he is actually very giving and is the wittiest person I know. He will make you laugh, guaranteed. Ben is also a fabulous stylist and I am honored that he will be helping me and my bridesmaids get ready on our wedding day. Although I don't know if he's yet aware that he will basically be my wedding day slave...
