If the wedding were today.. we'd all be talking about how great it could have been... but I think my tinkering with the website is hopefully is nearing to an end.. time to move on to other things... like the rest of the planning:)

It's the new year... just got the our video and photography people picked out and we are very excited to be working with them. Our wedding planner is back from vacation, so she's helping me(Deeps) keep on task. The website continues to be edited by yours truly... working on picking some decorators, DJ's... oohh... I just picked out our colour scheme(deeps did). So if there are any crazy colour issues you notice... you know where the problem started:)
We just got the save the dates in the mail.... mailed to miami.. ausra tested all the magnets individually :).. so in the next month or so we will try to get those out.. time is flying....

Less than six months to go... this past weekend, we "surprised" Ausra with a cruise out of Miami to the Bahamas and with her shiny new ring and overdue official proposal, seeing that the last one was done in an impromptue fashion.
Our photographer and videographer accompanied us down for the cruise. They were absolutely phenomenal in every respect and after collectively battling delayed flights, rough seas, and the lines at the bar, we really had a great trip and experience...
Save the dates are finally going to be mailed out this week... not sure when it will get to Lithuiania but the North American ones should be hitting a mailbox near you soon. I will soon be faced with the battle of decor details... again, something a guy is not naturally suited for, but at the same time it is a little fun but it sure is easy for the price to go up quickly...
Ausra and I are getting closer to sealing the deal on our jobs for next year... it has been a challenging search, but hopefully the next blog entry will hold news of where we will be starting the next chapter of our lives:)

March Madness....
Wow, it's mid-March!
We'll start with the introductions of our wedding party. It was tough singling out people, as there are so many special people we wanted to include but our wedding planner forbade us from having a bigger wedding party. However, if we could have we would have had more people, we certainly would have. That being said, we couldn't be happier with our crew and we realized that no two wedding party members are from the same city and will be representing 3 seperate countries. (btw, Seetal, don't worry about Betsy.. she's in a better place now:) And yes... Alex... is very timid and a man of few words... (thick sarcasm)... lol....
From a planning standpoint, these past few weeks have been full of floral,lighting, and decor meetings and decisions. Nothing is confirmed... I feel like I'm just going in circles, but I sure am getting to know the wedding industry.... We've settled on a wedding invitation and we're spending tonight figuring out what to put in it. We have a teaser trailer for the wedding that will be released with the invitations, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for that.
Our engagement photos and videos have been and will be featured in an online wedding publication. We feel like "mini" celebrities in the wedding planning circles right now as the magazine caters to a fairly international audience. I will refrain from disclosing details as we will be releasing those images to everyone at a later date... so more to look forward to...
Ausra and I are on a stretch of 46 days (or 7 weeks, or 1.75 months, or 0.13 calender years) of not seeing each other... so we are anxiously awaiting our next weekend together which will be easter weekend when she will be travelling to Toronto. Can't wait!!
We haven't signed our work contracts, but we're getting close, and Ausra's Birthday is March 21st... Just so you know!;)

Spring!
Hi everyone...
Well, we're closing in on the middle of May and it's amazing to see how time just keeps clicking ahead at a frightening pace. Ausra and I just got done spending 6 days in a row + one this past week, which is the longest stretch we have been able to spend together in over a year. We spent most of this Saturday putting wedding invitations together and they are in the mail.. well in stages... many of the first batches should be hitting your mailboxes starting this week but they will be rest will be mailed out over the next week or so.
Oh yeah! And we both accepted job offers in Buffalo, New York! Ausra will be working for the University of Buffalo, and I will be in private practice in a suburb of Buffalo called Orchard Park. We will start apartment hunting in the next couple weeks. We are pretty excited about that fact. We are still working out the transition to Buffalo from Miami with Ausra's cats, summer weddings we are excited to attend, etc. But we are very excited to be close to Toronto as that was a major priority in our job hunt--being close to family and friends.
Wedding planning has slowed down the last month and a half as work(what a drag:) and other things has taken on a larger part of our time, but we had some great vendor meetings over the last couple months and things are coming along nicely.
We would again urge you to reserve hotels early as we want to make sure everyone can get the discounted rate and rooms.
Starting the 27th and 28th of every month up building up to the wedding, we urge you to visit the webpage for a few fun clips we made/making to get people pumped up for the wedding--as if you didn't have enough reason to already..lol;)

Reminder to reserve rooms as soon as you are able...
