Bec & Dave's Country Wedding

Not the most exciting or romantic story but here goes....

We met at Springfield Tavern (aka "Springers") in Brisbane/Ipswich on February 6th 2004.  Bec had just moved back to Brisbane from Stanthorpe and was out with her sister, Rachel.  The bar had closed, due to a fight, but unfortunately Bec needed to use the ladies room.

Enter Dave - our helpful hero!  He noticed Bec (he says he noticed me inside too..) and said he could help her gain access back inside. Lo and behold, after speaking to the bouncers, that is exactly what happened!  Yeah!!  However, while Bec was grateful she was still wary and wasnt really interested in any weird guys waiting outside for her... which he was.  Waiting outside that is!

After saying thank you Bec went back to the car where Rachel was waiting.  However Dave followed, much to Rachel's surprise!!  Dave says to Bec "I know this sounds corny but I think you are really cute"!  Bec was flattered but Rachel wasn't taking any nonsense from strange guys.  Dave invited us to a party and had the cheek to ask for a lift for him and his mate.  Rachel demanded their licenses and gave them 20 questions, I think there was even short interviews held with other people nearby who knew them!

While Dave was smitten, Bec was a little more guarded and didn't think Dave was her type.  She didn't want to rush into anything either.  Kept at arms length, Dave continued to woo Bec and she couldn't help but feel drawn to him.  Beyond the tattoos Bec could see there was a kind and loving man.

So finally Bec fell for Dave's boyish charms....  The rest is history.......
