If you are coming from out of town, you might want to consider these places to stay:

Park Place Hotel, the 13 room newly renovated hotel is located the Historic Dahlonega Square. The bride and groom have reserved the entire venue for August 7-8. Rates range from $120-135. Holiday Inn Express is located at the heart of the Southern Appalachian Mountains with excellent mountain veiws. This hotel is only three miles away from Cavender Castle. Rates start at $80 a night.  835 South Chestatee Street, Dahlonega, GA 30533 (# 1-706-867-7777).

Best Western is located off the Georgia 400 and is 15 minutes away from Cavender Castle. This hotel has just been renovated with new carpet, countertops and beds. It is located next to the outlet mall and near Kara's family in Georgia. Rates start at $70 a night.  76 N. Georgia Avenue, Dawsonville, GA 30534 (#1-706-216-4410).
