How Heather and Chris discovered each other, as told by Maid of Honor, Irene.

June, 2001. Mike, the guy I was newly dating and now my husband, was having his 25th birthday party at “ La Prive” dance club in Los Angeles. He invited around 15 of his best friends and I invited some of my best gal pals as my “backup”. One of those gal pals was Heather. Guess who was on Mike’s list of invited friends? No other, than Christopher Cho. Like any typical club night, there was a lot of showing off of dance moves.  And let me tell you, Heather has some moves! The rest of that night has now faded into oblivion; but I do distinctly remember Chris hovering around the dance floor checking out the inventory.

During the next few years, whenever Mike and I would see Chris, he would often ask how “my friend, Heather” is doing and always made a follow up comment about what great moves she had that night at the club.

Fast forward to several YEARS later…Winter 2005.  After many times, over the years, of Chris asking about Heather, I finally got the hint that maybe he wanted to be set up with her. It just so happened that she was single and so we set up a double date over dinner at a Moroccan restaurant that Chris is fond of.

That was the most awkward and funny double date we have ever experienced.… to break the ice, Chris went on and on about how much he loves wine and how much he knew about it.  Heather being shy, barely uttered a word, but instead just giggled through the whole dinner.  Mike and I really didn’t expect a second date but you know what? Sometimes, it is not so much what is said between two people, but the bond and chemistry, that X factor, that nobody can explain. For them, it was their hearts that spoke to each other. And after each subsequent date got better than the last, eventually…they knew in their hearts…that in each other…they found their best complement.
