February 7, 2008. As the chinese celebrated their New Year, so too did we turn the page, so to speak, of our relationship on this day - which also happened to be the death anniversary of francis' agnate grandfather and a novenary of our town's fiesta. With my father at the helm during the proceedings, and before my siblings, including cocoy who was then on vacation, the intimate but formal discussion between our families was over in less than thirty minutes. Soon, we started plotting a few details of our wedding - though, of course, not after taking a hearty feast over the presents that francis and his family brought along. Yes, we're engaged! What could be more momentous than that on this date?
