Maid Of Honor - Sabrina Polanco

san diego 016

Sabrina is my favorite sister.  Mostly because she is my only sister, but outside of us being twins, she is nothing like me.  This is actually a good thing because she has exposed me to so much that I would never have the courage to experience on my own.  For example, she talked me into playing soccer in high school, the joys of sorority life in college and has challenged me to be more outgoing and confident in my everyday life.  She has helped turned me into a person I never would have become on my own, and I truly love and appreciate her for that.

Best Man - Jeff Oslin

Ninja Rap Jeff

Jeff is my best friend from home.  Despite him still living in Cleveland and the distance from Texas, we have remained very close.  He's a great and loyal friend and one of the most insanely creative and funny guys I know.  He's the first guy I call when I'm home and we are so close that most of my family thought we were dating at one point or another.

Best Man - Marty Wold

marty

Yes, there is a another best man.  While I am gifted with many amazing close friends, only one moved with me to Texas.  I can always depend on Marty for an opinion or advice that is both honest and exactly right.  I look up to Marty and am eternally grateful for his friendship.  Not to mention, he is the only other man in Texas stupid enough to watch the Browns with me every weekend.

Bridesmaid - Vanessa Allsup

engagement dinner 017

Despite Vanessa being my eldest girl cousin, I have always looked up to her more as a big sister.  I have always admired her maturity and the way she seemed to balance her faith, family and personal life so effortlessly.  When I first came to Baylor, she was happy to show me the ropes and take me under her wing and I learned so much from her during that time and those memories are priceless.

Groomsmen - Cody McClung

1

Cody has been my best friend for most of my life, and for anyone who knows me, that alone merits a good deal of respect.  As akward as I am now, trust me, I was much worse as a teen.  Cody has stood by me during some tough times, and has laughed, insanely loud I might add, with me during the goodtimes.  He is the hardest worker I know and I am grateful for his loyalty.

Bridesmaid - Jenni Lopez

There are no words to describe this girl.  She likes arm wrestling and beards.  In that order.  The end.

Groomsmen - Brian Letzelter

letz

Much like a love-at-first-sight situation, Brian and I grew close the first day we met as roommates at Kent State.  Brian and I might as well be the same person if not for our size, study habits and the volume of our voices.  Brian has the rare skill of turning every situation into one that becomes memorable.  He is a huge reason that living in the dorms at Kent State remains in the top 5 greatest times I have ever experienced.

Bridesmaid - Bianca Pair

bianca
Bianca is the bee's knees for many reasons.  Among these, she is a very educated hard working young woman and has been wise beyond her years for as long as I can remember.  The thing I like most about her is that because she has a unique sense of style she has always encouraged and appreciated my own unique sense of style.  This tells me one of two things, either we are both unique, OR she is great at making me not feel like a complete weirdo.  Either way, she rules.

Groomsmen - Aaron Youngblood

aaron

Aaron has become another new Texas friend, though it didn't start out that way.  He will tell anyone who listens that he initially hated me.  Was it my boyish good looks?  My unending charm?  My insane skills on the bass?  Only he knows.  Despite our rocky beginning, our shared passion for music helped us develop a friendship and, in time, a band.  I appreciate his patience with me, as I am a far inferior musician.

Bridesmaid - Amanda Allsup

amanduh

I have learned many life lessons from Mandy that I still live by to this day.  I learned that if you wash your hair with bar soap, you will lose it, and that standing too close to the microwave can get you pregnant.  Needless to say, Mandy has always kept things interesting and even saved my life once when her dog attacked me as a youngster.  I hope to one day return the favor.  I need her around because as an adult her advice is much better, she always has room for visitors, and who else can entertain our family with one of her hilarious experiences?

Groomsmen - Chris Buck

buck

Chris Buck is one of my newer Texas buddies.  We were aware of each other for the first few years I was in town because he worked with Marty, but became good friends when I moved in with him in 2007. Chris and I not only bonded because of our many long talks in front of our house, but because Chris is a wild card.  He is the type of guy who can both talk to the cops, but also be the reason they were called in the first place.  Keep it classy at our wedding buddy!  Or don't.  Either way I look forward to what's in store.

Bridesmaid - Becky Ytuarte

becks

Becky is a great cousin because I know I can rely on her for a quirky attitude and her constant smile.  As she has gotten older I have always admired her way of approaching life's hurdles with a quiet confidence and upbeat attitude.  Not to mention, that girl rocks a killer robot.

Groomsmen - Drew Triplett

drew

Drew is basically the human version of Apple's "Genius" program on itunes.  He has a suprisingly large library of media that he can aptly recommend to you in a moment's notice.  Who would've thought that I would like Veronica Mars. He did. And he was right.  Additionaly he is an incredibly genuine and intelligent guy that is generally fun to be around.  Also, he bathes with dinosaurs.  He HAS to be cool.  (see photo)

Bridesmaid - Bethany Pierce

bethany

Bethany is my (Jarrod's) little sister.  Like most normal kids, we played (extensively)with stuffed animals well into our teens (edit* twenties in one case), wore patches on our eyes, and spoke with heavy lisps.  (edit* I have been told these things are not, in fact, normal.)  We were like two little partially-blind peas in a pod.  So much so, that my friends actually referred to Bethany as "Jarrod 2".  While that may have been true at the time, I've since witnessed Bethany's educational and professional accomplishments.  I've had the pleasure of watching her become such an intelligent, hilarious, and unique individual.  I admire and respect her to the point where I would have no problem being referred to as "Bethany 2".  I love you Bee!
