We decided to attend the Wedding Fair at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Sunday March 28th. It's $15 at the door but there are so much to see and check out. Normally, I wouldn't even attend a wedding fair because I know I can't afford the kind of decoration or services that they have to offer. It'll be like looking at something you know you'll never be able to afford. And even if I could afford it, I don't think I would waste all my money on it. Some would say that it's a once in a life time affair so might as well go all out. I'm not about to go in debt over it, that's for sure.
Anyways, the only reason we attended the Wedding Fair was because the DJ service we were interested in was going to be there. They sent us an information packet that if we went to the show, we can get a discount. Turns out, we got a major discount off our DJ service, $300 off! You can't beat that!
Walking around the the place and checking out the vendors was fun. I grabbed a lot of information and flyers. I still have my bag from the fair with so much info, I haven't even had a chance to take a look through them. It's just sitting there on the ground starring at me. If I wasn't so tired from working so much lately, I will probably take a peek at it. The most fun part of it was the cake sampling. There were quite a few cake vendors there. I'm so caked out, I don't think I want to eat any more cake until my wedding ;) They all started to taste the same- the fruity jelly filing and sweet buttercream.
For all you couples who are thinking about tying the knot, definately check out the Wedding Fair. There's just so much to see! However, you can take what see and create something similar with your creative side and not have to worry about breaking the bank. That's all for now, peace out!
