'Directions to Ceremony from Waikiki Hotels' was updated.

Drive towards the ocean to Kalakaua Ave. (one way) and turn left towards Diamond Head. Where Monsarrat Ave. branches left at the zoo, continue straight (3.7 mi.) on Kalakaua through the park with the beach to your right. You will pass the Aquarium on your right and a fountain and circle on your left. The road then curves left in front of some condos, to a stop sign. Turn right (onto Diamond Head Road). Continue around the front of Diamond Head; the road becomes Kahala Ave. at a small park; pass it on your left and many mansions on either side. You'll come to a stop sign, then pass over a bridge. Waialae park is immediately beyond it to the right. A sign "Waialae Beach Park" is on the right. If parking is not available there, then parking may be found off-street nearby. Waialae Beach Park has a conspicuous foot bridge over a stream in the middle of the park and restrooms to the left side. We can meet on the grass in the shade overlooking the parking lot. (Kahala Avenue continues past the park to Waialae Country Club and Golf Course and ends at Kahala Resort Hotel & Spa. Fee parking is also at the hotel garage.)

A little about Wai'alae Beach-

Located in one of Honolulu's most prestigious neighborhoods, just five miles from Waikiki and near the Kahala Mandarin Hotel, Wai'alae Beach is a free public beach with pavilions, restrooms, and easy parking. And, you have breathtaking Koolau Mountains in the distance. There's a grassy lawn area with palm trees and a sandy beach with a bridge crossing a canal. Just down the beach is a small peninsula that leads out to a small tropical island with oodles of greenery and some palm trees. While sunset is a little more toward the Waikiki side, you still get a beautiful sky and more privacy than many of the other outdoor locations. This is a great spot for sunrise weddings and fabulous for photos.

A traditional reception will follow in Katy Texas at the Adorable Banquet Hall. It will be held July 25, 2010 at 5pm. A slide show of the ceremony will be held at dinner.

Please note that the reception hall has strict rules against alcohol being served in the presence of children under the age of 13. In addition, this will be a late evening for adults to enjoy. Therefore we are asking for guests to please make arrangements for children. There will be a sitter at my mother's home which isn't far from the reception hall who is charging $5 per child for the night. The sitter is CPR certified and has references available.

'Ceremony-Waikiki,Hawaii July 11,2010' was updated.

The ceremony will take place at the Wai'alae Beach Park outside Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. It will be held July 11, 2010 at 2pm. After the ceremony we will be attending a traditional Hawaiian Luau that starts at 4:30pm. So please RSVP and let us know you are attending so we can make plans for the Luau.

Since all of our guests will be traveling for the ceremony- including us we have looked in to multiple options for everyone.

Basic Information- Fly into Honolulu, Hawaii Airport which is on the island of Oahu and will be staying at Waikiki Beach.. It is very close to Honolulu but closer to Diamond Head! You wont need a rental car unless you plan to travel outside Waikiki, everything is very close!

We are staying for 5 days at the Hilton Waikiki Prince in Waikiki and then moving to Maui for our honeymoon at The Royal Lahaiana Resort for 6 more days. We booked these onlines and our flights thru Contiental. Check travelocity site for package deals in the off seasons (May thru November) for lower prices and Hotels.com.

For other options there are condos close: Aqua Palms at Waikiki,The Breakers, Aloha Condos, or Outrigger Condos which is a very affordable choice if traveling with a larger number of people or would like the option of a kitchen. Affordable flight and hotel packages are on www.Travelocity.com and www.Expeditia.com and also www.Hotels.com- there are also so many great choices for hotels in evey budget range. So do some shopping around ahead of time!

Here are some travel agency that have all inclusive but doesn't let you chose your hotel- http://www.alohadestinations.com/all-inclusive/ or http://www.hawaii-aloha.com/html/all_inclusive_oahu.html... I have not spoken with anyone here- just another option for everyone. Another option that includes rental vechicle and hotel/ flight http://www.leisurehawaiivacations.com/all_inclusive_hawaii.htm . This site is great to check out activities that are offered on our island! I would recommend using a travel agency that is BBB registered and getting travel insurance through whomever you book!
