Jared and I met at orientation for Algonquin College in August 2002. We were forced to play this game that required us to ask people questions about where they have been, and do they own a pet, how many siblings they have, and other fun questions like that. Little did the two of know that it was the beginning of a strong friendship and way more into the future. Throughout college Jared and I were always found together, working on projects, sharing some laughs or playing some intense Mario Kart and Mario Party in the Orkney basement. This carried on for the next three years. A year after college ended Jared was moving back home to Rockport to start work on a rather large project , and at the time everything seemed it would be all good, Jared and I would still see each other all the time and talk all the time. While we still talked and saw each other frequently it was just not the same, something was different. While on a routine visit to Gananoque one weekend in late autumn2007 both Jared and I came to a realization, we were in like with each other and decided that it was worth the try. When we told all our friends and family it seemed that no one was shocked and they all said “about time”. Months later that like turned into love and now we are happy, very much in love, and excited about our future together.
