The Dress

Casablanca 1965 White

Loved my dress.  Swarovski crystals covered the bust in beautiful design, draped in a layered tulle, with more swarovski crystal designs on the bottom with a beautiful edging in the crystals as well.  Beautiful crystaled buttons all up the back as well.

http://www.etsy.com/listing/62128167/the-original-silver-lingerie-wedding Great seller and Great product

Jewelry

photo
My jewelry was another etsy purchase.  http://www.etsy.com/shop/livelovebead?ref=seller_info She was great to work with and even helped me when my skin tone was make them gems turn yellow.  We worked together, she responded quickly and made the product work and look awesome on my wedding day.

Bridal Headband

photo
http://www.etsy.com/listing/60269553/bridal-headband-athena-rhinestone  This is a great seller and a great product.

Loved my headband!  It was a ribbon tie headband that I tied on on the wedding day, cut short so they didnt hang down and then pinned in the hair.  LOVED it.

Easy Bridal Suite Sign

photo
I bought the pre-cut letters from Joanne Fabric and painted them black.  I then found a ribbon that matched the dresses and simply glued the letters on the ribbon, leaving room at the top to drape over door (and tape onto door on the inside).  Made a cute pic, told the boys where NOT to go, and made me feel special entering!

Table Runner

photo
I made this table runner from scratch....though it got forgotten in the back of my mom's car instead of being on the table at the reception, we now hang it in our home...

I bought plain white fabric from Joanne.

Traced the lettering on in pencil (printed on computer, cut out with nail scissors since they are the smallest scissors I owned)

LAY DOWN A table cloth you care nothing about, apparently paint goes through 1 layer of white fabric onto your kitchen table and then the magic eraser has a lot of work to do.

The names (and numbers) I traced in black puff fabric paint and then dragged it to fill in.  I didnt want it as puffy as just squeezing the paint so I more or less rubbed it in.

The "G" I traced in white puff paint.....dry completely.

Filled in with the purple paint (matched to a bridesmaid dress fabric swatch) with a regular paint brush, using the puff paint as my buffer.

Joanne sells basically rhinestone chains (by the other ribbons) that i glued on with gel super glue.  Straights were easy, the curves you had to cut 1-2 gems, glue, angle and glue.  Took much longer.  This made G tricky....

Lined the whole cloth (hard to see here) with 2" black ribbon I glued to the edges (didn't trust myself to sew straight enough)

Tux and Bridesmaid dress together

Tux from Men's Warehouse 3 button tux with Sangria Vest and tie.

Bridesmaid dresses are Belsoie L30001 in Scarlett

Boutonnieres

Boutonnieres how to

GROOMSMEN BOUTONNIERES: Purple mini carnations,  mini (spray) red roses, hypericum berries in red and green, and seeded eucalyptus.

GROOM BOUTONNIERE: Regular sized rose, seeded eucalyptus, stephanotis (with gems), football bead strung onto floral wire looped and then floral taped (which happens to be from the very first boutonniere I ever gave him (8.5 years prior) and happened to save....)

Bridesmaid Dresses and Flowers

Red and Purple Bridesmaid Bouquets

Bridesmaids had choice of shoes, I just asked they be silver.

Bouquets

Bouquet how to

We made all the bouquets ourselves (family friend is a florist at a local grocery store).  We bought the flowers from the grocery store individually and then assembled in our garage and stored in our refrigerator.

You will notice our creativity with finding containers that would keep the flowers in water, but not squished as well as not allowing the water to touch the ribbon (water stains)  Each bridesmaid also had a charm flower wired onto their bouquet with their first initial so they knew whos was whos.  Finally, I bought individual swarovski crystals and glued them onto pins to go up the ribbon.

BRIDESMAID BOUQUETS: purple and red.  We used white spider mums (only because we were actually short a dozen regular red roses and we needed more filler) that we sprayed with both the red and purple flower spray found in the floral department.  (Good thing we knew the place and people working there....there was more spray in the air than most likely safe and looked like a hairspray haze at a drag show!)  Purple regular sized carnations, Purple mini carnations,  mini (spray) red roses, hypericum berries in red and green, and seeded eucalyptus.

BRIDAL BOUQUET: Red and White.  23 Red roses (1 was saved for Groom's Boutonniere so we completed 2 dozen together) We used red roses and stephanotis (very expensive but so awesome!)  Crystals glued to pins and stuck in the stephanotis.  Stephanotis was wired and wrapped in floral tape.  White ribbon on stems.

Just Married Sign-Kissing in Reflection

photo
Bought the personalized Just Married sign from Orientaltrading.com

Attached it to the Limo Bus inside the door (kept the paper backing on) with tape.

Took picture in reflection with church in the background.  Love the picture!

Guestbook-Engravable Frame

photo
http://www.idoengravables.com/engravable_signature_mats_guest_book_cp/F2024M453722/Photo-Mats/Large+Signature+Mat+%26+Elegant+Frame/

Instead of a guestbook we had this frame.  We decided against the white cardstock matting signature frame because I read that the ink can fade after time....the engraving is timeless.

I love our frame, it looks amazing on our wall and it was easy to use.  Perfect.

Head Table Backlighting

photo
We had a pvc frame.  Open rectangle would go from left to right so legs holding it up would go front back.

Took the net clear/white holiday lights (they come in a rectangle and are have lights going up and down making small squares) with white cords and zip-tied them matching up with the frame.

Sheer curtains twice as long as the height of the rectangle.  At the half fold, pin to frame.  Take the top layer and drape up to one corner--basically until you like how it looks.  Pin up in that corner with safety pins (behind frame)

Ceiling Decorations

photo
Tulle 42" wide-White
Clear Icicle lights with white cords
tied to ceiling with extra tulle pieces (lift up drop ceiling tile, tie to framing, lower tile over the top)

Got horizontal and vertical measurements from hall and then did the trusty pythagorien theorem to figure out vertical.  Added 1 foot each for draping.  When measuring for tulle make sure to purchase each section separately, you cant cut a light cord.....

Centerpieces

photo
* 10" cylinder vases
* Sweet Pea Silk flowers (cut to fit in vase and curved in "s" to add more below water level)
* Clear Rocks (can be bought at dollar tree)
* Underwater lights in clear/white (http://www.100candles.com/item.htm/9510/White-Submersible-LED-Light)
* Filled with distilled water.

I have the flowers and lights if anyone would like to borrow/buy.  I borrowed the other items.

Toasting Glasses-Toast Picture

Simple glasses bought at Joanne Fabric, awesome toasting picture

Kissing Game

photo
The clanging of glasses at a wedding often means the guests would like to see the bride and groom kiss.  It is also a common theme for couples to try and find other ways in which their guests can make them kiss.

My husband was a volunteer for the Muscular Distrophy Association, being a summer camp counselor for 5 years.  It is a charity and cause that is dear to his heart.

In order for us to kiss at our wedding we asked that our guests donate money to the MDA and the more money, the better the kiss.  Boy did things get interesting.  The best part, we had an anonymous donor that matched everything we raised.  We were able to donate $300 to MDA and couldnt be prouder!

Our Wedding Cake

photo
Cake toppers: Silver linked hearts and Black metal G--bought off of ebay.  (These were 2 separate toppers)

3 layer cake (for 150 people--we did sheet cake for the rest).  White buttercream frosting.

"Free Scrolling" white on white.  Those little silver balls you get for decorating Christmas cookies you can never chew but look awesome all metallic like.  Our names written on the cake.  (Though not a fan of the handwriting we ended up with).  Wine colored frosting on beading and names.

Packer Grooms Cake

photo
Packer Cake just ordered from a local bakery (Manderfields). This was a turtle cake: chocolate cake with a layer of pecans and caramel inside.

Toppers bought off of Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/JackiesFlowers?ref=seller_info.  Great Seller, great product.  Look cute on shelf afterwards!

Card Box-Bird House

photo
My Grandma's new husband made this birdhouse/cardbox.  He designed a special point to the roof that will fill up the card hole. It is amazing and I cant wait to display it when I have a larger house in which I can!

Our Favors--Unlimited Photo Booth Photos!

photo
Our DJ also provided a photo booth, not only that, but a discount for bundling them!

We posted these poems at all the tables and everyone had a blast!  (We also told them to take the little holders at the end of the night)

When the photos printed immediately and they printed 2.  One for the people in the booth to keep and one to put in a guestbook they could also sign.  There was an attendant helping out.  Also, all photos were available online so if there was a large group in the booth and they all wanted the print they could go online and purchase.

Our book is hilarious!  We love it and we would do it over again in a heart beat!
