Maile's Story

Hey everyone! Little known facts about Maile

I grew up in Chicago, which means I'm a midwest girl at heart, still say pop, love my cubs, and really prefer that small town feel. Last year I took Steve "home." I knew that one day we'd be here and wanted him to really experience, well, ME! I moved to San Diego with my mom in 1996. I love to bike ride, spend time with friends and family and travel. Music is my passion and obsession, which also means I love to dance!!! Bring on the reception!

Steve's Story

Steve grew up in Eldorado Hills (Sacramento) near the Sierra Nevadas. Leading him to love anything the mountains has to offer. Steve moved here to San Diego in 1996 (funny, so did Maile) to go to SDSU. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Marine Biology. Steve began teaching Scuba lessons in La Jolla earning him the name of Scuba Steve! He also loves to travel and see the world and is a sponge when it comes to learning new things.

Our Story

We met at our first insurance agency back in 2002. Steve had been working there quite a while though when I was hired, he was on vacation (of course) He walked in the door to our office and our eyes met and we both knew there was something, a spark. Flirting our way through the first month, we finally went to dinner. We both weren't looking for anything serious as we were on the ends of relationships, though we just knew there was this chemistry that we couldn't ignore. We ended the relationships we were in and started to see each weeks later. Next thing we know, April of 2002 we were taking our first road trip up the coast together and starting our 6 year story. It's been a long rollercoaster since and we just both knew we'd never be able to be apart. Now we know, we will be together, forever.
