Ceremony

Since we both love being outdoors, living in sunny San Diego, we thought of no better place than on the beach. Gathering our absolute closest friends and family, the ceremony will take place on a beach in Encinitas at 5 in the evening. It will be a casual ceremony, short and sweet. We would love for everyone to stand in a half circle around us as we exchange our vows. Please feel free to leave your shoes at the sidewalk :)

Reception

Bring on the party! Everyone knows that Steve and I love to have a good time! The reception will take place immediately following the ceremony, approximately 10 minutes north in Carlsbad. Isaac, Maile's brother in law, grew up in Carlsbad, and we're blessed that his family is allowing us to use their Beach House for the reception! Right across from the beach, we will be eating tacos and dancing to a live band under the stars. This will be a "kid friendly" reception so feel free to bring the little ones

Attire

So we've had some people ask, what is beach formal?

We'd like everyone to be comfortable, but at the same time, this is our wedding :) Men, slacks would be great, or a nice pair of shorts. Hawaiian shirts are great, though keep them on the quiet side, no t-shirts please. Women, sun dresses, anything pretty and not too hot.

Any shoes will do!

Family Photos

Family photos will take place immediately following the ceremony, so please do not take off :) First though, they will be taking one big photo of everyone on the beach, after that photo, please feel free to make your way to the reception, except for family.
