Vas & Julia - Our Destination Wedding

So I haven't blogged for a bit on here but here are some awesome updates! We've already had around 30 people book for our Jamaica destination wedding & we can't wait to share our special day with them!

I bought a cheap wedding dress off the rack during the David's Bridal $99 sale and am going to use it for our photography TTD (trash the dress) session following the next day after our wedding! I'm so excited! :)

We booked our honeymoon finally and we're going to be at the Royal Plantation Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica for another week!

We also booked our photographers who are a sweet couple from Destin, FL & will be with us for part of our week in Jamaica at our resort documenting our day.

This past Saturday, April 4th, 2009 was our co-ed wedding shower that Tanya H., Tanya N., Alla M., & my mom threw for us which was amazing & Vas & I absolutely loved it & are so thankful for everyone celebrating with us and for everything that was done! We can't thank you guys enough & love you lots! :o)

I'm excited because Jennifer, our travel agent, called me today & told us that we had our first group of guests book which is wonderful & I'm glad people are starting to book and not doing it a week before they need to leave for our wedding :o)

The 2nd time we went destination wedding dress shopping this past Saturday 11/8/08 my mom, Tanya V. (my MOH), & I took my grandma Geeta along with us to help out with opinions and suggestions since she used to work at Schaeffer's Bridal and knows a great deal about wedding dresses.

When I went to David's Bridal a few weekends before that the dresses there were alright but none were anything amazing. This time we decided to try out a store called Bridal Connection in Ankeny which Tanya found for me that morning online. Every dress I tried on there was gorgeous, it was crazy! I finally narrowed it down to 2 after an hour & 1/2 and then another hour later I bought my dress! :o) It's gorgeous & I'm so excited that I found such a stunning and original one to wear that looks like it was sewn just for me & I really hope Vas will like it too! :) I also bought a veil & jewelry to match :)

On Wednesday we booked our parents with Sandals so they're set which is a great accomplishment for them :) Now we're just goint to have to shop for everyone's plane tickets to get a good deal!
