Adam and Nicki's Wedding

Well Adam was going to propose on top of Kilimajaro (5895m) in Tanzania during our recent trip.

Lovely idea but unfortunately I got bad altitude sickness 500m (vertical!) from the top so had to go down).

So... on the second part of the holiday in Zanzibar he proposed on the beautiful beach instead, very romantic!

We were both working at Reuters on the graduate training scheme from September 2003.

We got to know each other when both on 6 month assignments in New York. We  lived in the same building Riverbank West just 15 minutes walk from Times Square. Some day we'd love to go back, such an amazing city, can't believe it was 4 years ago now!
