Anna & Neil's Wedding

This is the first time I've ever used a Blog!   I'll try and keep it interesting and current.

Well, I'll get to posting.

We'll meeting with the DJ on Monday at the Roundhouse to talk about the setup and to test the acoustics.  He said he has a new speaker setup that should reduce echo in such a large building.  Here's the info about his new speakers.  And Here.

We're also in the process of getting the wedding rings, so that will one more thing we can check off the list.  Basically, only the smaller items like posting the engagement photos in the paper and sending out the invitations are left to complete. Those should be done within the next week and a half. 

Baby Steps, man.  Baby Steps.

The meeting with the DJ went well.  He tested out his new speaker setup (Bose) and it sounds great.  There is definitely a night and day difference between a regular speaker system and his new one. 

There is less echo off the back walls and it's not as muddy sounding.  I was kind of worried about the sound being so bad that people wouldn't be able to hear anyone speaking into it due to the bad acoustics of the room.  My worries are now shoved aside.

I'm going to be uploading a couple of pictures and try my hand at posting a movie that I recorded of the music.  By the way, it almost sounded like a concert hall when he played classical music with the new speakers. (Where the old type speakers made it sound like a big can.)

Anna and Linda (mother of the Bride) met with the Caterer yesterday to refine the details of the reception.  From what I was told, it sounds like it's all set and under control. All Anna and I need to do is filter that info to the other service providers so they know where they will be set up.

Now that everything is basically set, comes the issue of paying it off!  Woohoo.  Whoever said that "love don't cost a thing" was clearly crazy.

Okay, so it's been a while since I've posted (Anna's not really into blogging).  It's now one week until the wedding.  My anticipation has picked up a bit but I attribute it to worrying about what we've missed in the planning, which is hopefully nothing.

This weekend, we'll do the final preps so we can hopefully coast through next week and enjoy all the events up and through the wedding.

The wedding was amazing and couldn't have gone better.  We'd like to thank everyone that came.  I hope that we were able to talk to everyone that came out.  I didn't realize how fast time would go by that day but I feel like I remember all of it.

We got back from Jamaica a week ago and it was fantastic!  We did a lot of nothing, which was a welcome change to all the planning.

Now we're in the process of settling Anna in the house.  I've been making room for all her stuff (i.e. replacing my stuff with hers).

In the meantime, I'll try to keep this updated.  I'm also working on getting some of the pictures people took, so I'll post some of those when I get them.
