Her Story

I was born in Sumter, SC in 1988. I lived there until I was about four, and in Kindergarten we moved to Charlotte, NC. A year later we moved to Gastonia, NC where we lived until I was in high school. We then moved to Grayson, GA where my family now lives. I am the middle child of six, and love having a big family! Growing up, there was always someone to play with, and I loved it. I graduated from Grayson High School in 2006 and am now an Early Childhood Education major at Erskine College. After school, I want to teach here in the US for a few years and maybe one day teach in another country. I've been a Christian since I was about 10, but I truly gave my life over to God in high school. I view every road that I walk as one more way I can further Gods kingdom. I look at the tasks laid before me, and I do them the best that I can with the talents and gifts that God has blessed me with.  He has given me a love to do what is right and all that I can to the best of my ability. I can feel God's calling in my life and I want to serve Him all of my days.

His Story

I was born in Conyers, GA in 1988. I've lived in Georgia my whole life. My family is crazy, fun, and huge. Everywhere I go, I'm related to someone. I graduated from George Walton Academy in 2006 and am now a Bible and Religion: Christian Education major at Erskine College. I plan on going to Erskine Seminary once I graduate and working with youth, either here in the US, or on the mission field. I've been a Christian since I was 8 or 9, but I really began to feel God's call on my life in high school. My goal for life is to glorify God and allow Him to use me in whatever way he sees fit. I've known Michelle since 10th grade, and I knew, even back then, that I wanted to marry her.

Our Story

Michelle and I met at Highlands ARP Church one Sunday when she was in 9th grade and I was in 10th grade. I remember my grandfather nudging me and pointing her out, noting how pretty she was. He encouraged me to talk to her and get to know her. We hung out and got to know each other better and on Christmas Eve 2004 we began dating. For the first month or so of dating, we were together 24/7, watching movies, playing games, doing anything. We fell in love very quickly, and I knew that she was the one for me. Since then, we have been dating for almost 4 years and are now engaged!
