Our Wedding Website

Jake and I met on September 5th, 2004 (Labor Day Weekend). Our friends Gretchen and Travis introduced us and we went up to Legs Inn in Cross Village, the place was packed! We decided to leave Legs Inn because it was so crowded and we headed up to Sault Ste. Marie to go to a couple bars (gas prices were MUCH cheaper in 2004). Despite Jake’s attempts at trying to make conversation with me all night I was not being very nice to him (I didn't think he was my "type" haha).  So imagine my surprise when they dropped me off and Jake asked if I wanted to go see a movie sometime! I said, "Sure" but didn't expect a call, because I was kind of rude to the poor guy...(very un-Dawn of me if I do say so myself! haha)

Jake called the next day and the day after that and the day after that. He turned out to be a really nice guy. I still didn't think we had much in common, so my pick for the movie, Wimbledon! I figured there was no way this guy with the tattoos was going to agree to going to a chick flick about tennis! He did! We went to the movie and he held my hand..awwww. We've basically spent every day together since.  (For the record, I do still feel guilty for the way I acted on that first "date" haha)
