Our Wedding Website

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and thanks for checking out our wedding website! (I slaved over this darn thing all weekend...neglecting all housework!) We hope you love it and any suggestions or comments would be appreciated!  

Yay I finally got the damn music option to work on these pages! (MUCH better with a little Dean Martin, Tony Bennett...and ELVIS!!!!!) I also added a slide show of Jake and I....awwwwwwwww check it out!

P.S. I'm LOVING all the guestbook comments, questions, and RSVP's that we're getting-you guys are great! (I need to start planning for the ACTUAL wedding now huh? Like getting a dress, booking a reception hall, booking a DJ, registering for gifts, etc...) I'm soooo excited!

I put a picture of my ring on "The Proposal" page finally so everyone who hasn't already seen it up close can get a good look at it!

We finally set a date for our Reception!!!! JUNE 13th, 2009! (Again, invitations will go out closer to the actual date of the reception!) We hope everyone will be there....you guys BETTER be there!! We also booked A+ Digital DJs so get ready to dance the night away!! =D 

Just a quick note: For all the local family and friends, we know it's a bit of a drive to go to Cheboygan, but please know that it means the world to us that you do make the drive over to Cheboygan to be with us for our reception...trust us you will have a great time! It'll be worth the drive! An especially big THANK YOU to the Yoopers who are making the long 6 hour drive down from Bruce Crossing as well as the down staters who are making the long drive up!!! (We realize that gas is insane and the trouble that goes into making hotel reservations and we can't say how much we appreciate you coming!) We are really excited to see EVERYONE that can make it to our reception and want to thank you all in advance!!!  

Wow quite a bit has happened since last time I wrote on here, which was back on July 23rd!

*On October 11th Mom, Courtney and I drove down to Grand Rapids to go dress shopping and I found THE DRESS!!! Mom ordered it right away, cause it takes about 6 months to come in! (Hopefully it comes in sooner than that!) I had a great time trying on dresses, but when I tried on MY dress, I just knew it was THE ONE...my smile was even different...and trust me when you see me in this dress you are going to say "Yep....that is SO DAWN!" haha

*I also booked our Ceremony in Las Vegas with the Chapel in the Clouds at the Top of the Stratosphere...so it is a done deal...We are headed to Vegas Baby! We'll be there May 25th-28th, 2009.

*On October 18th, 2008 my sister, Courtney, took our Engagement pictures! She did such a great job! I wanted fall colors and she knew right where to go for some good scenery shots! THANKS COURTNEY!!! =)

*Jake and I booked our flight and hotel for Las Vegas. We will be staying at the Flamingo (mid strip) Monday May 25th - Friday May 29th! That's where we stayed when we got engaged in May of 2007 and you couldn't beat the location of midstrip and the price. Also the Flamingo has a monorail station located right IN the hotel so it is really easy to get around Vegas if you use the monorail! =D Most of our friends and family also booked their flight and hotel too so I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I was checking prices constantly and now I don't have to anymore yay!!!

 * Jake and I also bought our wedding bands so that's another thing that can be checked off the list-I have to say mine is AMAZING and I can't wait to wear it!!!!

*Jake's tux has been ordered, my sister (Matron of Honor) ordered her dress, and my niece Mamie will have a dress at the Reception in Michigan that looks like Aunt Dawn's dress =) her dress is also ordered..things are getting done...

*My dress came in and Mom, Courtney, Mamie, and I drove down to Grand Rapids in a snow storm to pick it up on 2-21-09-we also did some shopping it was such a fun trip ;)

*87 more days to go until we are married-where does the time go?! I still have quite a bit to do.
