Getting Started

We are just getting started in the planning process and it's so overwhelming. Trying to find a place to have the ceremony, figuring out pre-marital classes, who will take the pictures, where to get the cake, etc. It's crazy. The most important part is that we get to share this day will our family. All of you are amazing and we are so thankful to each and every one of you for the support and love you give to us. It is a very exciting time, embarking on this journey together, and we want you all to know how much we appreciate everything you have done for us.

Bridal Expo

My sister and I went to the bridal expo today. It was very small, but I got alot of new bridal magazines to look through. We are still trying to figure out everything to do with the reception. It's such an exciting time. I can't wait to delve deeper into the planning this summer!

Decisions

I've figured out what is going on with the wedding now. It will be held at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Irving with a reception following at the church hall. The colors will be red and yellow with black and white accents. I'm thinking of a picnic theme which I think will be fun. I'm so excited! I'll keep everyone updated!

Update

I'm going wedding dress shopping on Monday! I can't wait to try on the dresses. I called to book the church hall for the reception, but they haven't returned my call. I may just have to go down there and write myself in on their calendar. Still need to find a photographer, cake place and a dj for the reception. A lot of the details for the reception are coming together, I just need to go and buy the decorations. Scott is trying to help out as much as he can with the planning, but it's hard for a guy to get excited about flowers and table decorations.

Another Update

Well, back in June I found the dress of my dreams! I bought my wedding dress and it is amazing! I can't wait to try it on again! Also, we have changed up just about everything that we started with. About a month ago we decided that the colors weren't right, the cake needed something different, decorations should be changed, and so we did a complete overhaul of everything that we had been planning. I don't want to reveal too much, because I think it will be a fun surprise for everyone. All I'll say for now is that the colors are Chocolate Brown and Light Pink. I'm extremely excited about the wedding.
