Em has globe trotted her entire life, so unsurprisingly, she managed to find Marty on the opposite side of the world! Currently living in the UAE and teaching French in a lovely school, she loves desert driving (aka dune bashing), photography, travel, reading, doing puzzles and a whole host of other things!

Marty is currently spending a month in Sydney with his parents, after working in the absolute middle of nowhere, in QLD, Australia, which didn't stop him from trying to make friends with the local kangaroos whenever possible or scaring the birds away with his whistling! He will be moving to the UAE from 2nd July and job hunting... (luckily for Em, he loves cleaning and cooking, so can keep busy with that for a while! lol)

Marty sent her a message on MySpace, saying Hi (plus some other oddly spelled words) on 1st January 07. Em was on hols in Egypt at that time and suffering from 60+ flea bites, along with laryngitis and bronchitis. She thinks that the fever obscured her vision and she somehow managed to ignore his unique typos! So she replied, as she was all on her own in Egypt by that time and had nothing else to do  :-)  the rest is history
