We promise we will never charge you in the future. You can have a free website that never expires. We started MomentVille with the idea of making a place where memories can last forever because that is exactly what we wanted (and couldn't find elsewhere). We do have an optional upgrade which gives you a few extra features but if you are happy with the free website you can stick with that.

All of the features that are available to you when you sign up will remain available to you. There are no tricks here. We designed MomentVille because we couldn't find what we wanted elsewhere - personal wedding websites that are free, easy to use, and don't expire!

No, your wedding website will not expire. You can come back in 10 years and it will still be there. This is true for both free and premium wedding websites.

You can set a password on your wedding website if you upgrade to one of our premium wedding websites. By doing this you can ensure that only visitors who have the password can see your website. Our free wedding websites do not have password protection.

In order to offer this service for free we do need to have some advertising on your website.
Only you will see the ads. We try to make sure that the advertisements are for things that you will actually find useful (honeymoon specials, wedding rings, etc), so if you see something you like please click on it.
If you don't want to see advertisements you can easily upgrade to our premium wedding website.

Only you will see the ads and only when you are logged in and editing your site. Your guests will not see the ads.

No, you do not need your own domain name. When you create your wedding website you will select a personal web address like www.momentville.com/JenAndMike. You can optionally purchase your own domain name (eg. www.JenAndMike.com)

Yes! You can easily purchase a domain name from us and everything will be automatically set up for you. If you own an existing domain name and have a premium wedding website you can use your existing domain name.

Yes, you can add easily add unlimited music to your website if you have a premium website. And free sites can use widget elements. Have a look at this how-to article for more information: Learn How To Add Music

When you create your music widget look for an option to "auto-play" or "play when loaded". This is an option that is set when you are creating the widget and is not related to MomentVille. If you need help you can fill out our help form and we'll do our best to assist you.

Slideshows are not made directly on MomentVille. Instead, you make your slideshow on a dedicated slideshow site. Two common ones are: Rock You and Slide. Once you have made your slideshow you will be given some code which you can 'embed' into MomentVille. First add a 'Widget' element to your website using the Add Element button at the bottom of your website. In the new widget element paste the embed code that you got from your slideshow provider and hit 'Update'.

Add a "What's New" element to any page on your site. At the bottom of the element there is a signup form where your guests can enter their email.

Absolutely!! You can add videos, slideshows, and music (to name a few) to your wedding website using our 'widget' elements. You can't upload videos directly to Momentville but you can add videos from YouTube, DailyMotion, or any other online video site that provides 'embed' code.

Yes you can. Login to your site and go to Settings -> Event. You'll see a 'Add A New Organizer' section which will allow you to grant editing privileges to another user by entering their email address.

The best way to tell people about your site is to send an email using our invitation system. It lets you send your friends a stylish looking email with all the website details automatically included! We also recommend that you post a link on your blog, facebook profile, myspace page, or any other online place you commonly keep information.

Yes. Any RSVP has the option to either display responses on the site or hide them so only you can read them. You can also screen and approve any responses before they appear on the site.

Absolutely. Using our custom theme builder is easy, and allows you to choose your own fonts, background images and more! It allows you to become a web designer, no experience needed!

Just go to the my/moments page. You will need to be logged in, but from there you can delete your website.

Absolutely! Just add a Photo Gallery element to your website and start uploading!

MomentVille has been designed for and tested with standards compliant browsers: IE 7+, Firefox 2+, Safari 3+, Google Chrome 1+, and Opera 9+. Although websites you build will be viewable to your guests using IE6, we strongly recommend that you do NOT use IE6 for building your website.
