Sarah LeDoux grew up in the small town of DeRidder, Louisiana with her family. Some of her fondest memories are spending time with her grandparents, Judy and J.B. LeDoux on their dairy farm.
As she grew, so did her interest in impacting the world through politics. It was this interest that lead to her involvement in the TeenPact Leadership ministry. Through TeenPact she was exposed to Summit Ministries where she met Patrick in late July of 2006.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Patrick Collins was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. During the summer of 2005, he became involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. In January 2006, Patrick was introduced to Summit Ministries and their worldview camps. He worked for Summit Ministries at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee for about five weeks in July and August. It was during the last two weeks of the camp that he met Sarah LeDoux. She was a student at the camp.
On October 6, 2007 Patrick was driving to Nashville and called Sarah, leaving a message on her voicemail. She returned the call later that night, and they talked for hours. That was the beginning of their new friendship. They talked more and more frequently over the next two months. In mid December he expressed his interest in her. They both prayed about entering into a relationship. Two weeks later she was in Huntsville with her family visiting friends for Christmas. They spent several days together that week. Since then they’ve spent every day on the phone together.
My Beloved Is Mine and I Am His
The Song of Solomon
Patrick Collins and Sarah LeDoux met in 2006 at Bryan College during a Summit Ministries retreat. In God’s perfect timing, nearly 14 months later, they began communicating by phone. At that time Patrick worked at a company located in Huntsville, Alabama and Sarah attended college in Branson, Missouri. With a quiet assurance of the Lord’s leading they allowed a romance to grow after spending time Christmas week of 2007 together. Their love will lead them to the altar on July 12 of 2008 in the presence of their immediate family members. Please join Patrick and Sarah for a wedding reception to celebrate their union as two individuals becoming one family.
