Aaron and Jeremy have been friends for many years. Jeremy has a deep appreciation for the amazing man of God Aaron is and for the many gifts that he has nurtured. Aaron is quite a visionary when it comes to food and he has graciously offered to prepare several tasty vittles for us. Y'all are in for quite a treat!

"I always wanted a nerd with social skills. Well, I got one, and I couldn't be happier."

"Who wouldn't want to marry this domestic goddess?!?"

Rebecca did make both of those statements. All of her life she has been waiting for the man that God had intended for her to make a life with, and she is so excited to have finally met him.

Rebecca was born into a home full of love for God and people. She was a precocious little curly-headed troublemaker, always talking to strangers. Tragedy came into the story when Rebecca was two, and her mother passed away. God makes all things beautiful though, and He brought her a wonderful mom to help her dad raise her right. Her parents also provided her with four younger brothers to keep things interesting.

School years were spent bopping back and forth between private schools and homeschooling. Rebecca graduated from Seattle Christian High School (one of four valedictorians! She has a medal and everything!) and then proceeded to study English Literature and Secondary Education at Seattle Pacific University. She also enjoyed the University Scholars program at SPU, although it ended up becoming a bit of a love-hate relationship. Through a series of events, Rebecca found out that she was not destined to make teaching her profession, at least not in a typical school setting, and so she finished her bachelor's degree early and ended up finding a job in customer service and sales at a Large Unnamed Banking Institution. In the past six-almost seven-years at LUBI, she has moved from banker to manager and now to investment sales assistant. She still views her banking career as God playing a good joke on her, but has been grateful for the opportunities and growth that have happened there.

Rebecca's first memory is of a prayer vigil, so it follows that her life would be marked by the presence of God. At three years old she was telling strangers in line at the grocery store that Jesus was her friend. At eleven she experienced her first knock-you-over experience with God, and found confidence in Christ as her Lord and Savior. Teenage years were understandably rough, and Rebecca took a turn for the melancholy, especially durnig her college years, when she struggled with relationships and learning that she was not strong enough to make life work all by herself. In the years since college, God has again and again shown Himself to be loving and faithful, and Rebecca's faith has deepened and strengthened through the long nights of "why God" conversations and the moments of pure joy and freedom.

In the area of men, Rebecca went through a long dry spell. While she had a lot of fabulous guy friends, she was known for writing blog posts about singlehood and the lack of dating opportunities at her church (despite a high percentage of singles in the congregation). Rebecca had a lot of conversations with the Lord about this lack of male attention, especially since she knew that God had called her to be a wife and mother. But in God's infinite wisdom, He kept telling her to wait, to be still and know that He is God.

And so she waited. And then one day, when life was great, and she was the most contented, and the least worried, God introduced her to a wonderful man named Jeremy.

Pike Place Market --One of Rebecca's favorite places in the whole wide world. Be sure to go down under and check out her favorite bookseller: Lionheart Books

Kerry Park --The best views of the city

Sci-Fi Museum/EMP --if you are friends of ours, you might be nerds too, so you'll enjoy this.

Ride the Ducks --Jer might have gone on this twice already.

Underground Tour --Rebecca used to work in Pioneer Square, the original heart of Seattle. This tour takes you underneath it all and gives you an entertaining history lesson.

Greenlake --Take a stroll on the path around the lake. A good place to people watch, reflect, or bring a friend for relaxing conversation.

Teahouse Kuan Yin --Where Jer and Becca went on their first date.

Lounjin --Another of Jer and Becca's favorite spots. If you are very lucky, Joanie will be there and will make you fresh ramen. Mmmm....

Karen's wedding cakes are beyond famous. They're so famous, they're infamous. Jer has stolen bites of many of her cakes over the years (even the ones that never saw the light of wedding day) and believe you me... words fail to describe the tastiness and the beauty.
