 I was born in Fremont, Michigan at Gerber Hospital on May 4th, 1986, (I'm one day older than Josh!!!). I lived in Grant, MI at the same house my whole life until I entered college at Central Michigan University. I started out wanting to earn a teaching degree but I later changed my mind and decided to earn a Bachelors of Science Degree in Child Development so that I would have more career opportunities. I would like to go on to earn at least my Masters Degree in Child Psychology or Counseling/Therapy after Josh and I get all setteled. I'm giving myself one year before I go back and I'd like to find a job that offers tuition reimbursement benifits first to help Josh and I out finacially.

Josh was born in Pharr, Texas on May 5th, 1986. He was home schooled for nearly all of his educational career. Josh is currently in the Barn Restoration business with his father and he has been in that business for his entire working career. Josh also recently joined the Army National Guard for which he attends drills frequently due to the possibility of a pending deployment to Iraq nearing the end of 2008 to the beginning of 2009.

The way Josh and I met is actually sort of confusing but I will try my best.  At first it was Josh that showed interest in me. It all started at the Wesco gas station in Newaygo, MI one summer. I was at a gas pump trying to pump some gasoline but I couldn't get the pump to work due to a power outage the whole city of Newaygo was having at the time. Josh pulled up to the pump next to me because he also needed to purchase some gasoline. I don't normally talk to strangers but I guess you could say that at this point in time I was having what many people would call a "blonde" moment. As I was trying to figure out how to get the gas pump to work I looked over at Josh and asked him what was going on. It was at that moment that I realized how stupid the question was that I had just asked because the answer was an obvious one. The power was out and that is basically the answer Josh gave to me. Feeling quite embarrased for asking such a dumb question I got in my car and drove away, all the while never expecting to see Josh again. I actually forgot about the entire incident until Josh reminded me later. Soon after that first encounter with Josh on a Sunday morning at my church I saw a tall, dark haired, well dressed, handsome looking guy staring at me from accross the church lobby. I could tell by the way he looked at me that he was interested in me but I thought nothing of it because I figured if he wanted to talk to me he would. Later that week on a Wednesday at my church my friend Annie came up to me and told me about her boyfriend's brother who saw me at church and thought I was "hot". I remembered the handsome looking guy that was staring at me from the Sunday before and I tried to describe him to Annie to see if he was the guy. Annie confirmed that this was the guy and little did I know, he was also the guy that I had saw at the Wesco gas station earlier that summer. It just so happens that Josh's brother and his cousin were both in the car with him while he was at the gas station where we had our first encounter. When Josh told his brother that he thought I was "hot" that day at the gas station, Josh's brother ended up recognizing me from my church where he also attended so he told Josh where he could find me again. Josh ended up attending my church soon after due to having an interest in me as well as being invited by his brother. Long story short, we ended up being set up on a blind date where we went to the movies and Grand Haven Beach with my friend Annie and her boyfriend who was also Josh's brother. As you can see it all worked out from there.
