Use The Budget Tool

Use the budget page to keep track of all of you wedding expenses, payments dates and the payment method.

Budget items are grouped and displayed based on the category they are in. You can set a target budget in the estimated cost column and then see what your real budget ends up being to see where you are spending more than planned.

Adding budget items:Adding a budget item is fairly straightforward. Just click on the add budget item button and fill out the form provided. You can mark the item as paid right away if you'd like. For more information on the 'Per guest' option read the next section.

Per guest budget items: MomentVille allows you to specify "Per Guest" budget items, if the cost if dependant on the number of guests attending. For instance meals often cost per guest. This functionality allows you to easily vary the number of guests attending your occasion to see the impact it will have on your budget. To edit the number of guests attending any given occasion go to the Settings->Occasions tab. Any "Per guest" budget items will be marked with an icon: . Please note: While editing a per guest budget item enter the individual cost per guest, not the total cost for all guests. The total will be automatically calculated for you.

Editing budget items:Editing a budget item allows you to edit the description, estimated cost and actual cost. Please note that the actual cost cannot go below the sum of the budget payments you've entered. If you want to lower your actual cost column in that case you have to update your payments first. Updating the amount paid and amount due columns:The amount paid and due columns are automatically recalculated anytime you add or change a payment or the actual cost. For more information on payments see our Payments How-To

Making notes: Click on the notes tab and save any notes you'd like to make anytime.

Adding Payments:To add, view and edit all the payments for a budget item click on the Payments button. For more information on payments see our Payments How-To

Paid Budget Items: A budget item is considered fully paid when the 'Amount Due' is $0.

Deleting budget items: To delete a budget item click on the red 'X' on the right hand side of the item row.
