Because we will have everyone at one hotel, We need everyone to make their reservation soon!! The beach is potentially starting a Jazz Festival in April and this place does fill up. The sooner the better!! I nearly fell out of my chair when I was told the rates because NOTHING on the beach is usually this cheap!

We realize that most people are traveling to be with us, and that airline tickets are anything but cheap. So please feel free to talk to other guests or Adam or I if you want to find someone to room with to split the costs.
Here are some things you really must do while you are in the area:
Come to the wedding and then celebrate at the reception!!!
Golf: Located minutes from the beaches of Panama City, the Bay Point Marriott Resort is home to not just one but two of the most spectacular 18-hole golf courses along the Emerald Coast and Florida Panhandle. The recently renovated Meadows Course continues to be a popular choice, along with our Nicklaus Design Course which opened in the fall 2006. Along with 36 unique and challenging holes, these top-notch Panama City golf courses will offer an extensive practice area, consisting of a manicured putting green and driving range. Feel free to get a group together ot take advantage of it!
Spa: The Marriott hosts the world class, full service, Serenity Spa. It my be our wedding, but its your vacation - live it up!
Jet Skiing, Parasailing, Kayak Rentals, etc: Contact the hotel activities desk for more information.
RELAX!!: At the hotel, there are a few pools, indoor and out, hot tubs, and of course, the beach. Feel free to just lay back and relax for a while!
Panama City airport is about 20 minutes away from the hotel. Delta is the main carrier for it, which means you'll be connecting through Atlanta! (for this, i apologize!) Because it is a small airport, it tends to be someone more expensive than many other airports. If you are renting a car, and don't mind driving a few hours, feel free to also check flying into Tallahassee (2hours), Pensacola (2.5 hours), Destin (1 hour), or Fort Walton (1.5 hours).
I recommend delta.com and kayak.com for finding your flights.
As for renting a car, it is not absolutley necessary. A taxi (be it the yellow kind or the mom or friend picking you up kind) can get you to and from the hotel, and carpooling can probably be arranged for the welcome party. However, should you want to go anywhere else while you are here, you might want to consider renting a car because nothing off property is easily accesible (or walking distance). Please talk to others you know that are coming so that we don't end up with EVERYONE renting a car when carpooling would save gas and emmissions.
