Preston, one of the most important factors in a great marriage is good communications, so now would be a good time to finally communicate with Brittany that March 4-8, are the dates you will be with us on our 2009 canoe trip down the Brazos. That's ok if Brittany comes along: we have a couple of sand bars picked out that are perfect for a wedding and will accomodate the full wedding party. We'll take care of the fresh catfish and bass for the reception. You can just communicate to Brittany that this all in her interest, since it will relieve her of a lot of stress so she can enjoy the scenery.
She will understand and welcome the idea, if not for the wedding, at least for your honeymoon.

On second thought, maybe we should delay that trip until the following week. ; )

Well, Dad here. I'm getting into 'standby' mode, you know, the mode most Dad's get into when their wife & daughter begin the wedding prep ritual march & the Dad 'stands by' & watches. Of course, there's the occasional obligatory query of Dad's opinion, which is quickly discounted. But it's fun to watch and, alas, passes by all too quickly. First my Doodlebug metamorphosed into a beautiful butterfly & now Sweetpea has bloomed into a beautiful flower- time truly does pass quickly. She choose a fine youing man too! I get such pleasure reading new additions you add to this website every few days. It keeps me right up to date as plans progress. I love your enthusiasm, and it brings back those precious memories 56 yrs. ago as I was planning our wedding.
