November 6, 2007 - It was what seemed like a normal Tuesday after work, when I pulled in the driveway to find Regan was already home (Regan rarely gets home before I do). When I walked in the door I was greeted by Regan and our very rambunctious dog, Casey. Regan suggested we take Casey to the park to play Frisbee. Although it was a beautiful, sunny, clear afternoon, it was the first cold day in Memphis, so I had to dig my winter fleece out of the front closet and find a pair of mittens. We drove over to Ben’s Park which is quiet, beautiful park along the east side of Mudd Island, right along the Mississippi River. After throwing the Frisbee and taking a walk through the trails in the park, Regan led me over to a Gazebo (called “Settler’s Point”) where he asked me if I was sure I wanted to live with him for the rest of my life. I said of course I want to live with him! Before I knew what was going on, I watched him fumble around in his pocket for a ring as he got down on his knee, and he was asking me to marry him! I was so surprised and could hardly believe what was happening. Somehow, mixed in with the shock, excitement and tears of joy, I managed to say YES!
