1. Our Ceremony will be held on July 31st, 2008, on the beach at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico (pictured below).

Playa del Carmen is located about 60 minutes south of Cancun, along the Caribbean Sea (see the map below - Playa del Carmen is in the bottom, right-hand corner).  We will be staying at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya all-inclusive resort (shown in the photo above).  All meals, drinks, and several activities are included in the price of your room.  Visit www.riu.com to check it out!  

You will need a Passport to travel to Mexico, so please get your application turned in soon if you don't already have one!  You can find more information on how to get a passport at http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html. 

We have been working with Vanessa at Amery Travel Service.  Please feel free to contact her and she will take care of making your travel arrangements, too!

If you choose to make your own travel plans, here are some things to consider: 

1. Price - make sure you are getting a better deal than what Vanessa has to offer!

2. Transportation to and from the airport - You will have to fly into the Cancun airport, and Playa del Carmen is about a 60 minute drive from there.  Make sure you have very specific details that cover how you will get to and from the Cancun airport. 

3. Accommodations - We are strongly encouraging everyone to stay at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya all-inclusive resort.  We will base the majority of our activities through this resort and if you are not staying there, you wil not be able to participate.  Also, if you choose to stay at a different resort, you will have to buy a day-pass to get into the RIU Palace Riviera Maya to attend our wedding.  We did a lot of research and felt the all-inclusive resort would be the best deal, because once you've paid for your room, you've also paid for all of your meals, all of your drinks and most of your activities.

        *Please note that up to 3 adults per room are allowed at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya Resort. They do provide roll-aways at no additional charge, so plan accordingly.
