Newmans of Radcliffe is a family run cake manufacturing business established 40 years ago by the Chadwick Brothers. Gary and Val Newman took over the business in 1997 using the same traditional handed down recipes.

In 2002 we were able to expand by opening our new shop concentrating on celebration cakes for all occasions.
As well as finished cakes we stock a large range of accessories & equipment, we also supply cake bases in best fruit & Madeira for those who wish to decorate their own cakes.

Please feel free to browse the site for various examples of previously designed cakes. The site contains only a small selection of our cakes but does contain examples of our wedding, birthday and novelty cakes, we do however keep a well stocked picture library of previously commissioned cakes in our shop.

Our shop is located at the junction of Turks Road/ Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe and is easily accessible from Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Manchester.

Wedding Cakes

All our wedding cakes are personally created for your special day in either our Best Fruit cake, Madeira or Chocolate . Please deduct £10 per tier for either of the Madeira cakes. All our online displays cakes are priced as they appear but each cake will show a table of prices taking into account size and amount of tiers required. Any other sized cakes or combination can of course be catered for and will be priced for on application or consultation. We can also provide plain iced cake for any large wedding celebration just for cutting up and giving out.

The Milestone was opened in 1982 and since then the Holt's expertise in cutting, polishing and setting gemstones has established them as a leading gemstone jeweller.

Gemstones from all over the world are selected to ensure a unique and most spectacular range. As a Fellow of the Gemmological Association, Judith can test and authenticate all the stones sold in the shop.

The Milestone keeps a wide selection of unset gems that can be set to your own design, by skilled gold and silversmiths.

We stock various ranges by David Wallace & Andrew Saunders of Pateley Bridge. 

A must for collectors is the many mineral specimens held, from all over the world. These range from tiny crystals to large display items. Plus an in-depth display of fossils, with examples from Britain, Africa and America.

Our ranges have been selected with everyone in mind, offering cufflinks, tie tacks & rings. For couples with wedding bells ringing in the not-too-distant future, we have one of the widest ranges of wedding rings available, including many made from the highly fashionable Titanium. Plus shaped & textured rings to fit your engagement ring.
For those looking for something a little different, we have bookends in agate and fossilised wood, clocks and barometers set in Lake District slate, hand blown perfume bottles and sterling silver thimbles.

The engraving on these rings is the Gaelic endearment  'My love is upon you'.

We are a family run business and first opened our doors in 1998. We offer a large selection of bridal gowns, bridesmaids and accessories from the worlds leading designers at very COMPETITIVE PRICES.

We also offer a couture service, designing and customising where the only limit is your imagination!
