I had such a great time with Leah & James in San Francisco last week…We met at the beach near The Cliff House Restaurant, which is where James proposed two years ago!  They brought along their adorable dog, Ollie, who seemed to enjoy getting all the extra attention.  Stay tuned for the photos from their upcoming wedding at Ruby Hill!

Maryland Wedding Photography :|: Mike & Kim Get Hitched! 2012-05-15

I had the pleasure of photographing Mike and Kim’s Chesapeake Bay wedding as my first East Coast wedding!  These two world travelers stayed fairly close to their home in D.C. for their beautiful ceremony and reception at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis, MD; but they already have big plans for their honeymoon in Mexico and other future traveling adventures.  Even though their guest list wasn’t small, Mike and Kim’s wedding still felt intimate and laid back; they really got a chance to visit and connect with most of their guests.  There was a pretty good chance of rain that day but we were able to stay dry for the most part.  As soon as the ceremony began though, the sound of raindrops on the roof of the tent made many of the guests feel that Kim’s dad’s spirit was letting everybody know that he was there, part of Kim and Mike’s special day.  Although there were some emotional moments during the ceremony and later during the toasts, the mood of the day was light and happy… a truly joyous celebration of two people in love and starting a great life together.

Christina and Derek are one daring couple! With a 50% chance of rain the day before they decided to go for it and it was perfect out! Lucky ducks! Check back in October to sneak a peek of their wedding at the Carneros Inn.

Diana and Joe opted for a first sighting before their ceremony, which I always love being a part of. They  had an October wedding filled with lovely autumn themed details and richly colored flowers that I thought would be fun to share for those brides planning a fall wedding.
