I've been photographing weddings for over 7 years, and my "job" just seems to get better all the time. Whether having an intimate affair of 30 guests to a grant event of over 300, I have photographed all types of weddings, I love that no matter how ritualistic, every wedding I have ever photographed has something special and unique that sets them apart from each other.

Ali and Peason 2012-05-18

Ali and Pearson had their wedding at a private estate in Cat Spring, Texas. It also happened to be on one of the rainiest days I’ve ever seen. It was grey, wet and muddy! But, that didn’t stop them from having an absolutely beautiful wedding and the time of their lives. As usual, Keely Thorne and her team were able to adapt to the elements and produce a sophisticated rustic wedding with outstanding details that will go down in the history books!

I absolutely LOVE Ali’s “Going Away” dress.

Since we didn’t have a chance to do outdoor portraits on the day of the wedding, I went back to the ranch recently and we did a, “Day After” session.
They turned out lovely and I can’t wait to share. Stay tuned!

Less is More; A Silk Queensberry Album 2012-04-11

We just completed Ali and YJ’s album and as usual with our Queensberry albums, it turned out beautifully. I love the simplicity of the cover. We made a 10×14 pagemount album (where the mats are all individually cut to surround every image) with ivory mats. Sometimes clients can get overwhelmed with all the different cover options for an album. In this case, we left the cover plain and I think it looks great! The cover material is a Japanese silk in Black Pearl. For more Queensberry inspiration, visit the album section on my blog and their website.

The materials Queensberry uses are of the finest quality. The lightly textured mats give a wonderful luscious feeling to each page. The binding techniques are also of the highest quality standards.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to post anything about Ali and YJ’s wedding without reflecting on one of my personal favorites; the one of them kissing in the street. The other photo I have to resurrect; the one of the incredible Louboutin shoes YJ wore on her wedding day. I still have people mention these shoes! So, I’m going to post these pics again. For those just tuning in, enjoy. For those who’ve seen these before, enjoy again.

Katie and Joshua 2012-04-04

If I had to say one thing about Katie and Joshua, it would be that they laugh a lot. Their laughs are contagious not only to each other, but to those around them also. Joshua makes Katie giggle, and Katie gives Joshua the biggest swoon-filled smile I’ve ever seen. It’s evident they adore being with each other, and laughter is going to be a key element of their long life together. Congrats to you both!

‘Megan’s Bridal Session 2012-03-25

I always like to mix it up on my blog. In other words, I don’t post every single portrait session and wedding I shoot, but rather I like to post work that keeps the content of this blog a little more random and fresh. It’s been a while since I’ve posted a bridal (and we’ve had lots of clients asking for ideas of where to do their’s), so I thought the timing couldn’t have been more perfect to post Megan’s portraits. I had the pleasure of photographing Megan and Marshall’s wedding this past weekend at the Vineyards at Chappel Lodge (soooo pretty), which means I can now share some of her bridals. We photographed her session at the Commodore Perry Estate. Megan looked nothing short of absolutely gorgeous! Congrats to Megan and Marshall. Stay tuned for their wedding pics.

Katrina and Chris’s Wedding featured on Style Me Pretty! 2012-03-13

It’s always such a thrill to see weddings that I’ve photographed published either on-line or in print. Style Me Pretty recently published one of my favorites from 2011, Katrina and Chris’s wedding at the W Hotel in Austin. Check out the full feature here.
