I am so honored to be asked to take part in this years Masala! Mehndi! Masti.
The largest South Asian Festival in North America will take place at The Harbourfront Centre in Toronto.
This year M!M!M! will showcase the greatest talent that Toronto has to offer in Comedy, Dance, Fashion, Film, Literary Arts, Music, Spoken Word, Theatre, Visual Arts and Workshop Seminars.
I will be one of the featured artists showcasing some of my newest images from India in the Marilyn Brewer Gallery inside the Harbourfront Centre Building.
I will also be donating all proceeds from the sale of all framed fine art images to Asha For Education Canada.
A charity that is very close to my heart. Asha Canada is the Canadian arm of Asha for Education, whose stated mission is “to catalyze socio-economic change in India through education of underprivileged children.”
I have visited many of Asha’s Project sites in India, and have witnessed first hand the awesome work this organization is doing in India.
So I hope to see you at the event!
Here’s a few of my favs that will be included in the show.
Namaste!

So New York has finally legalized Gay Marriage. The sixth state in the US to do so.
I just happened to be in Manhattan the same weekend to shoot a beautiful Indian wedding. (You can see the images here.)
New York is always a buzz, but this weekend was exceptional! Even a record breaking heat wave could not deter the enthusiasm felt for this monumental event.
Even the Mayor got involved by performing a wedding ceremony for two of his top officials on the first day it was legal!
I am thrilled that gay couples in New York have finally been given the same legal rights as everyone else, a step forward for humanity, and ”the free world”.
Congratulations New York! What took you so long???

I’ve been very fortunate to photograph some beautiful same sex weddings in Toronto, even before the same sex marriage laws were passed in Canada (Nationwide) back in 2005.
What always gets to me is the overwhelming support I have seen from the families of these couples who have chosen to celebrate their lives so openly,
and now legally! It is so touching to witness such love and acceptance.
To all my past gay wedding couples, thank you for paving the way!
