With weddings season just around the corner that means engagement sessions are in full swing. On May 2nd I started my season off with an engagement session with Karen and Tom at the Franklin Park Conservatory. The weather did not look promising but was able to hold off for some wonderful pictures. I am looking forward to their wedding on June 12th. Last weekend we traveled outside of Columbus to the Rolly Hills of Thornville to capture some sweet moments with Zeth, Crystal, Nolan, and the very anticipated and almost here baby Evan! They were really the kindest and we enjoyed hanging out with their family. It was a beautiful day, with beautiful landscapes, and a beautiful family. Check out some of our favorites below.
Chelsea and I had a hard time getting a date scheduled with the unpredictable weather that we’ve had the last few weeks, but we finally found the right day and the right time! We walked around the Short North shooting and stumbled upon a new construction site; just then a stroke of good luck — we ran into the maintenance guy who had keys to the building. The gentleman noticed that we were shooting Chelsea’s pictures and was nice enough to let us inside! Not only did we get awesome shots indoors, but he took us to top of the building for a rooftop session. We were pretty excited about the unexpected location find and had a great time with it. Although you may never see them displayed except at fleet parades or around naval equipment, International code flags include 26 square flags which depict different letters and numbers. Since our newest baby, Dylan, is a born sailor it was only appropriate that mom and dad decorated his nursery with sailboats and spelled his name in the nautical code flags. It looked awesome and I must say was extremely unique! Dylan had slept through his midnight feeding, so we had to take a snack break during his photo shoot, but it was so worth the wait! His room was adorable, Dylan was adorable and he gave us a lot of great pictures – see for yourself. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more of him!
I was definitely anxious to get my camera back around the twins! Since their late October grand entrance they have been doing a lot of growing, in size and personality! Brandon was a little grumpy, but mom knew just how to make him crack a smile for us. Allyson on the other hand seemed to love the camera. We had a lot of fun with this adorable duo and are excited to watch them grow!
