Better Together Events LLC is a full service wedding and special event planning business catering to the Western NY area and beyond. From initial consultation to the last thank you note you complete, my goal is to provide personal service, distinctive design, unwavering passion, flawless attention to detail, and good humor.

I want to provide my clients with the tools and organization to create a better event and the wedding or special celebration of their dreams! My philosophy is to be as excited as my clients from the beginning to the end of the wedding planning process!

Better Together Events is a Green Vendor

I provide clients and vendors with planning forms, time-lines, and other information electronically. When absolutely necessary to use paper, I use recycled paper, and I recycle. I always suggest eco-friendly planning options to clients, such as using organically-grown flowers or creating DIY leaf place cards. I also often refer clients to green vendors.

Oh Good Cuteness... Etsy to the Rescue on a Manic Monday 2010-02-01

Thanks to a gal pal for sharing a link to Mollusa's Etsy page. These clutches and ring pillows just make me happy. Art in the form of a purse makes even a manic Monday more zen-like. Happy shopping!

Update on How to Plan Your Wedding Without Losing Your Mind 2010-01-27

It's not too late to sign up for "How to Plan Your Wedding Without Losing Your Mind," a three hour summary course including tips and tricks on DIY planning. The course will occur on Thursday, Feb. 25th from 6:30-9:30. The cost is $45 for a couple (bride and mother/marrying couple/any one marrying person plus a family member). There was a typo with the instructor name, so rest assured I will be there!

Some Seriously Divine Cakes 2010-01-26

I was reading The Knot's weekly vendor newsletter yesterday, and I could not get over some of the cakes featured there. Check them out below for some fabulous, unique, and just plain pretty cake ideas to bring to your baker.

The hydrangeas on the top really bring out the details in the cut-out. And blue and red is one of my new favorite color schemes.

You just can't argue with "All you need is love."

The green accented with the hibiscus flower brings out a new take on a round cake.

Orchids and chocolate: two of my favorites.

This cake reminds me of a Project Runway dress with the soft pick ruffles.

I love the simplicity paired with the sugar hydrangeas. Reminds me of the Cape wedding coming up in July!

This shade of purple is so sweet, especially with the delicate, elegant design.

This cake would coordinate well with a lace dress.

Nothing says Spring as elegantly as Lilies of the Valley.

This chocolate truffle cake is so unique with its asymmetrical design.

I saved my favorite for last... green love birds displayed on a hand-painted, blue cake.
