I’ve shot nearly 200 weddings. This is one of the most common things I hear from couples after their big day. The weeks, months and sometimes years leading up to a wedding are filled with thousands of details and countless hours of planning. It’s one of the most important days of their lives, yet once all the details come together and it’s actually happening, much of it will be missed in the whirlwind of activity that inevitably occurs during the wedding celebration.

I got married myself in the fall of 2008, and I know how much creativity, time and sentiment go into planning a wedding. After the vows are made and the music is played, the memories will be what last. Before we got engaged, my wife said she never would have even considered hiring a videographer. She thought of big cameras, bright lights and obnoxious producers getting in the way of the guests. Now, after seeing me in action and the quality product I deliver, the wedding video was at the top of her list.

A professional wedding video should be considered more of a necessity than a luxury. Video preserves the day like nothing else, allowing you to relive the sights, sounds, colors and unexpected moments forever - from the groom’s voice cracking during the vows, to the kids running in circles on the dance floor, to the tears welling up in Mom’s eyes as the newlyweds depart from the reception. All these things can be captured by an inconspicuous videographer, allowing events to unfold naturally as they happen, and not forcing the couple or guests to feel they have to perform while a camera is on them.
