Canadian Cancer Society Wedding Celebration Program 

The Canadian Cancer Society Wedding Celebration Program is a way for couples to mark their special day while bringing hope to people touched by cancer. When you chose to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of favours, you and your guests support life saving research, patient and survivor support programs, and so much more.

We offer the following programs to support couples in the celebration of their engagement and marriage:

• In lieu of wedding favours: For a donation, we can provide you with gift cards, place cards, bookmarks, celebration boxes, as well as, reception certificates. 
• In lieu of wedding gifts: To inform your guests that you encourage donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of gifts, we offer donation request cards to place in your invitations.  After the wedding, we also offer thank you cards to send to your guests. 
• Create a wedding page: Celebrate your engagement and every precious moment leading up to the big day by creating your own wedding page online. Send updates, post photo albums of all your special moments, and provide a destination for friends, family and invited guests to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of your wedding.

Canadian Cancer Society is a Green Vendor

We offer a green alternative to favours. Couples can make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society and receive one reception certificate to display at their gift table to let guests know that a donation has been made in their honour in lieu of favours. This cuts down on all the product waste that couples use for traditional favours. Also, the paper that the reception certificate is printed on is 30% recycled content. The Canadian Cancer Society advocates to change laws within the government for a greener, friendlier future such as our Take charge on Toxics campaign and the ban on cosmetic pesticide use.
