I consider myself extremely fortunate that every day I get the chance to do what I love. I treasure the relationships I have with my clients, and I love documenting their special days and their families as they grow.

Many of my clients ask me to photograph their weddings, and then continue to allow me to capture the moments of their lives as they become pregnant, have children, and celebrate anniversaries. I limit the number of weddings I photograph to twenty per year so that I have the chance to get to know my couples as well as possible. They know they can contact me whenever they need anything, and I will have time for them. Above all, they know they're important to me.

In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, we've made some mindful choices in our business practices. First and foremost, we use local vendors and printers here in Greensboro when possible. When we feel we need to use national companies to provide our clients with the fabulous products they expect from us, we use only eco-friendly providers who create their products by hand with the environment in mind. Our album printer is one of the greenest companies in the industry. Their albums are hand-made in the United States and are constructed from as many natural, post-consumer, and completely recyclable materials as possible. All of their packaging is natural, recycled, recyclable, or fully biodegradable. When we place an order, we always request ground shipping, which is the most eco-friendly option. Other environmentally conscious practices include using as little paper as possible in our office, and buying post-consumer content. We use rechargeable batteries in all of our equipment, and dispose of them safely and responsibly when they can no longer hold a charge. Instead of paper proofs, we offer digital proofs and online galleries.

Allison and Finley {Raleigh Portrait Photography} 2012-05-19

I met Allison and Finley on a beautiful afternoon for an informal portrait session at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville. Finley’s still a puppy, and he was in quite a playful mood. With his furry little face and Allison’s gorgeous eyes and smile, my job was easy and fun. We couldn’t have picked a better day, and I loved seeing Allison again, as well as meeting Finley.

Welcome to the World, Joshua! {NC Newborn Baby Photography} 2012-05-08

Joshua came to the studio ready for his portraits, which is to say, he fell fast asleep very quickly. And what sweet photographs we got of him! I especially love the little owl hat that his mom and dad were thoughtful enough to bring. He was a sweetheart, and I’m honored to have been trusted to capture such an amazingly important time in his life.

Myia {Greensboro Bridal Portraits} 2012-05-08

I’ve known Myia almost as long as I’ve lived in North Carolina, and she is one of my very favorite people. She’s also incredibly gorgeous and fun. Although another photographer at my studio will be photographing her wedding so that I can attend as a guest, Myia asked me to create her bridal portraits. I have to say, I was stoked to have such creative license in a client’s bridal session. Before anyone asks, yes, she climbed a tree in her dress before her wedding day. And no, she’s not a model that I hired. She’s just that awesome. It wasn’t even my idea – she asked to do it, and I happily complied. And now you now why I love her so much.

Welcome to the World, Teagan! {Raleigh Newborn Photography} 2012-05-02

Teagan was only four days old when I met her, and she slept almost the entire time she was in my studio. Not that I minded – I just loved holding her little body while she slept and hearing her tiny baby grunts. She was the sweetest little girl, and I’m so happy that I had the chance to photograph her newborn portraits.

Elle is Six Months Old! {Greensboro Baby Photography} 2012-05-03

Elle is six months old, and to celebrate, her parents brought her to the studio for portraits. She was a happy little model, and we didn’t have to wait long for smiles. I was pleasantly surprised by how long she lasted in from of my camera – almost a full hour. But soon she was rubbing her eyes to let mom and dad know that she was ready for her nap.
