Baby Deen turns one! 2012-05-16

I can not believe Matthew “moose” is one already! We went out to the south end of Tybee and had a wonderful time hanging out and taking photos. Do not miss Jamie Deens new show coming on in about a month or so. It is amazing what Paula Deen and her family have done for Savannah! What a wonderful fun family.

Fine Art Sessions 2012-05-17

I am so excited to offer these fine art sessions. These sessions are about the subject (your child) and to get a unique portrait for your walls.

Here is what it is about

Each child separately

Simple clothes (I will come to their closet and pick something out)

It is an abbreviated session, that is clean, simple and artistic. I will come to your house and set up my backdrop and it is to achieve a beautiful portrait for your wall. I have really enjoyed using negative space in these sessions and how simple and direct they are. Kids should be at least one year old.

Portraits available  in three sizes 12 x 18, 16 x 24 or 24 x 36 and can be either printed on a beautiful bamboo paper and framed or wrapped canvas. Call the studio for details as the sessions are limited until June 15th.

The Truth 2012-05-14

The truth is it is hard. Almost to the day a year ago I went for my reconsult at the doctors going back and forth about what to do. It almost seemed like a little game to me and I called the office last April and said I am ready whats next.I really didn’t think it would work.  I had put it off for months thinking what if I got twins? Could I do it? They told me it had been so long that I had to come back in for a reconsult. Darn, another cycle and I just might chicken out by the time the next one comes around. I didn’t,obviously. It is hard to believe last mothers day I didn’t even know I would have two sweet babies here. I hoped, I dreamed, I played around with the idea. June came and the wait started until July we found out it was in fact twins. They will be three months on the 15th and I am so happy we went through with it. I have to admit the first six weeks or so they scared me. I would just stare at them and think what will I do with twins? Now I just do not know what I would do without any of them and lucky for me my husband is an amazing father. Watching him with them truly has helped me get through how scared I was  of having two babies at the same time. I also was so fortunate to have such amazing clients/friends that made me feel so special during this pregnancy. I can’t thank all of you enough, I really could have never imagined the kindness and how much the families I meet and photograph become like family to me. Happy Mothers Day !
