{ Elopement } Beth + Mark in Breckenridge, Colorado // 2012-03-05

Beth and Mark asked us to provide a blue Hydrangea bouquet for her to hold, while a photographer, musician and officiant helped them live their dream of eloping to Breckenridge, just the two of them.

Beth's bridal bouquet was made of blue Hydrangea and seeded Eucalyptus.

Local musician, Ben Brewer is currently running for Town Council and plays at various events throughout the county by himself, or with others, including a group called the Pine Beatles, which you can hear a sampling of, by clicking here

Local officiant, Gretchen Abernathy, is present as Beth and Mark exchange vows and become husband and wife.  We congratulate these two, and give thanks to Brian Kraft for sharing these images with us!

{ Flower Maven } School of Flower Arts: Wreath Making Class - Colorado Mountain College 2012-02-27

Dina, or the Flower Maven, as we like to call her, is expanding her hands-on learning sessions for those interested in attending the Flower Maven, school of floral arts.
This new modern design school is a mashup of flower school, herbal apothecary, and interior design.  Students will come together to learn about current trends and more.
Some classes will be offered through the Colorado Mountain College, while others will be offered on a bi-monthly offering in the barn at 201 N Main.
Call and ask for Dina to discuss upcoming classes and to schedule a workshop for your private group. This activity is great for corporate retreats, birthdays, ladies get together's, bridal showers and bachelorette parties.

[VIDEO] The Barn at 201 North Main Street in Breck. The new home of Creative Flowers Inc | Petal and Bean. 2012-02-21

After eyeing up this remodeled barn for a few years, we decided to relocate the business closer to the historic district of downtown Breckenridge.  We always like our convenient location in the Parkway Shopping Center, but absolutely LOVE the feeling and new energy found inside this space.
We are going to have an open house on March 1, so come by and check it out then, or if you can't make it, you can check it out by watching the video here by Elegant Productions.
Erin Pellant is the person behind the lens and is a Summit County local girl who shoots video for weddings, businesses and more.  Find out more about her on her website and social feeds.

Valentine's Day = Tues., Feb. 14 // 2012-02-13

The classic gift for Valentine's Day is the traditional vase arrangement of a dozen red roses.  It is a timeless symbol of love, and our roses are eco-friendly and help support flower farms that employ sustainable methods.

We've decided to create one-of-a-kind succulent gardens, using plants like the one pictured above.  Not all girls want roses though, so we offer a variety of mixed arrangements, including these sunflowers.

You won't find baby's breath in our rose bouquets, and you'll probably see something you don't even recognize!  And that's because we have suppliers that have unusual resources, offering products you won't find anywhere else.

Bouquets can wrapped and very simple, or big and showy, like the tropical beauty you see below.  Whatever sentiment you're wanting to convey, we can help.

A long-lasting gift option is a blooming plant. However, watching a flower like the Ranunculus,  pictured below, open up over several days is an experience that we highly recommend.

Our potted mini-gardens are topped with polished river rock, moss and handmade with love right here in Breck.

Our gift baskets are not out-sourced to some far away drop shipper, but hand-picked with items that we'd like to receive ourselves.  This includes coffee roasted just down the hill by a boutiquet roastery, and exotic chocolates made from Vosges.

Homeless Jade seeks friend.  This jade plant is huge and is looking for the right home or office that will give it lots of love.  Serious inquiries only.

New this year is a locally-produced all-natural bath and body line that we call Breckenridge Botanicals.  Ask us about the lotions, body scrubs and personal spa products that will pamper someone you love with sweet-smelling goodness.

If you're in Breckenridge for Valentine's Day, please give us a call and let us know how we can help you!  We deliver to Breck, Copper Mountain, Dillon, Frisco, Keystone and Silverthorne, Colorado.
We are now located in this historic barn in the downtown area of Breckenridge, so please stop by and say hi!  (more...)

2012 International Snow Sculptures, Part 4 2012-02-10

Some of you followed my real-time tweets and posts on Instagram, but I take so many photos that I like to go in and edit, slice and dice and pick my favorites.  Just like when we deliver wedding, event or everyday flowers, I take multiple photos, to make sure I got the shot.

Too many times I've scrolled through my images to see only one kinda blurry photo of the bouquet we just dropped off.  Then, I have to wait weeks or even months, for the photographer to get the image of our work from the big day to me.

Well, here's my collection of photos, my take, on the snow sculptures that were put up in the heart of downtown Breckenridge, near the Riverwalk Center.  The town leaves the display up for about two weeks, and then they're gone, never to be the exact same teams or set of structures displayed the next year.

Thanks for reading and let me know in the comments which one is your favorite image from this blog!
