About Eloquent Expressions Photography...

Located in beautiful Southern St. Clair County Michigan and surrounded by the prestine shores of Lake Huron, St. Clair River, and Lake St. Clair. We have the luxury of many photo opportunities for any type of portrait session.

Always an artist but never focused on one specific media until someone gave Tom a camera!  January 1990 Tom was involved in an accident that changed the way he looked at life and when he received his camera, he set out on a mission to capture that perfect picture.  Although self taught, Tom has always put himself with other artist to share the common goal and in doing so, has built a great relationship with many of them.  As a member of the Blue Water Shutterbugs, Tom was soon humbled by the friends and artist.  He soon found himself in a friendly competition with his fellow artist helping him develop a style of his own.  Tom has since moved on to become a portrait and wedding photographer, opening his modest portrait studio “Eloquent Expressions Photography by Tom” in Algonac.

My work is done both on location and in the studio.  My interests and talents are in creative portraits for individuals, families, wedding photojournalism, and event photography.  I love to capture people in their natural behaviors and settings of casual, traditional, informal, and candid photojournalism.  Whether I photograph you and your family in my studio, at your home, during a celebration, or outdoors at a favorite park, it is my personal goal to Capture the Real You, by providing the highest level of quality and service.

I have always had a passion for the arts and photography has inspired me to express my love for the arts and my compassion for people.  I possess the unique ability to get people to relax and feel comfortable with me.  Once a relationship has been established I know what they are looking for in a portrait as I guide my session to capture the real personality.  The photographic industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today, not only technically, but because of the advances in the digital technology; it is making more and more people confident with their photography.  I still need to strive at making my photography the best, and continue to educate myself with the never-ending technical advances.  I don’t want to be a “Picture Taker”; I want to be a “Photographer!”  I continue to develop my skills in the pursuit for “That Perfect Picture”, enjoying every minute I have the camera in my hand, and the satisfaction that I helped someone create a memory that will last a lifetime!
