Sarah and Anson met at a friend’s Engagement Party in June of 2009.
She’s quirky, funny, cute. He’s a little more reserved, down to earth and serious. A match made in heaven!
It is often said that opposites attract. With Sarah and Anson, it isn’t so much opposites as two people complementing each other so that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
They love going to movies, seeing live music, singing together, and making up funny lyrics to existing songs.
We asked them how they knew they were perfect for each other.
Anson said, “The first time she fell asleep next to me (Halloween 2009).”.
To which Sarah replied, “I wasn’t really sleeping (heehee). But for serious, on Halloween night, 2009 – we baptized his bar, he played for me on his guitar, he asked me to dance, we watched Halloween & Rosemary’s Baby (actually, the movies watched me) and I thought as I fell asleep next to him, I thought ‘I never want to leave.’”.
We told you she was cute!
See you both at your wedding in July!

Anson is just super, man.

Have you seen my hat?

Jordan was tired of his wallflower friends and their inability to talk to women, so he decided to venture off from one bar to another one alone. When he got to the bar he noticed a tableĀ of 4 attractive ladies including Katie.
He grabbed the girls attention because he was wearing a Senators Jersey with a Je Suis Antoine Vermette sign he had made. His long flowy hair made them look like twins. After 20 minutes of conversation, Jordan focused his attention to the pretty one.
We started to talk for several minutes. In a few short minutes Katie left the table thinking, “I need a drink”.
After hours of sensational dancing and conversing Katie decided to ask for his number. Weeks later after no initial contact Jordan received a text message from Katie saying all his friends were at her door with a 24 pack of beer hoping to party. The rest is history!
We normally write a few words about our couples for both their Engagement Session and Wedding photos. We asked Jordan to tell us about how he and Katie met. The sentences above are better than anything we could write so we cut and pasted them verbatim. Jordan…you certainly have a way with words!
We asked them how they knew they were perfect for each other.
Katie:
I can’t say there was an exact moment in which it hit me “hey I’m going to marry this guy” but after only a few short months (or weeks) I was leaving Ottawa to move back to Kingston after finishing University. Jordan said if it was going to work between the two of us, I was going to have to find a job back in Ottawa. I knew at that moment I would do whatever I could to find a job in Ottawa. 3 weeks later, I was moving back and obviously it was the right decision!
Jordan:
For me, I can honestly say the day I saw her at the bar, I knew she had something special in her. It took a few weeks to realize the impact she made on me. Nights of thinking about her which I never told her about to her deciding to move in with me and take a chance. The minute she took a chance on me, I knew that it wouldn’t be a chance I would have to take but more of a blessing if I could be the one to call her my wife.
Guys…thanks for making our job as photographers easy! If your Engagement Session was any indication of how much fun you guys are, we really can’t wait for your wedding in July!!

This day began with Halle getting ready at her parents home in Oakville, Ontario. We arrived just before the Wedding Dress was put on and captured some fun images of the Bride getting ready.
From there we headed to Paletta Mansion for some shots with Jason and the guys, followed by a First Look between Halle and Jason, and finally some photos of the entire wedding party.
The Wedding Ceremony took place at the Mississauga Convention Center – a beautiful venue that offers a variety of backdrops for beautiful photos.
The Candy Bar was a hit with guests helping themselves to bags of candy as they entered the reception hall. Mine lasted about 30 minutes after we got home!
The entertainment was nothing short of fantastic! There was a jazz band, dance performances put on by several dancers, and a drum performance that had to be heard to be believed!…and yes, the rhythm did get me!
Guys…thanks so much for having us share in your special day. We hope you enjoy the preview images from your Wedding below.

Stephanie and Tyler tied the knot at The Briars. The Briars is a heritage Ontario lakeside resort, a refuge of relaxation and genuine hospitality amidst acres of lush lawns, gardens and towering trees. The surrounding woodlands, rivers and Lake Simcoe shoreline provide habitat for a variety of wildlife, an icon of Ontario’s Green Belt (I totally didn’t cut and paste that from their website…honest!
.
The day began with photos of Stephanie and her bridesmaids getting ready in a beautiful room at The Briars. Their daughter Mia practically stole the show and was beyond cute in the photos! There is nothing short of magic in a child’s smile and Mia managed to melt the hearts of everyone around her.
After the hair and makeup was done we located Tyler and the groomsmen and captured a few images of them as well. These guys love to joke around and it showed in the photos!
The Ceremony was conducted by Norm Martin, an Officiant we’ve had the pleasure of working with a few times at a variety of different venues. It’s always nice to see a familiar face!
Stephanie’s father, Mario, walked her down the aisle and everyone was in awe of how beautiful Stephanie looked.
The reception was kicked off by the introduction of the Wedding Party. MC Ryan was fantastic and really set the tone for the rest of the evening.
A big hilight was when Stephanie’s sister, Jennifer caught the bouquet! She’s next!!
A very big Thank You goes out to Astra from OYD Events for connecting us with this lovely couple!
