Difference 2011-03-30

Can you tell me what the difference is between these two images?





If you thought that "It's easy, one is taken during the day or with the lights on, and the other one was taken at night or with the lights off," you'd be wrong.

If you watched the previous post "Dorky With A Hat," you'll notice that Karen wakes up at 5:30 every morning. We wanted to show that it was morning in the video.  However, if you have ever tried to take a picture or film in the dark, you can't see anything.  I attempted to film the alarm clock in the dark, but all you could see were the numbers and couldn't make out anything else.

So, what is the difference between the two images?  Actually these the two images are the same image.  It is the first image.  It was taken at night with the lights on. Then in the computer a blue light was added to simulate night.  That way I could control how dark the shot was and how much of the rest of the alarm clock was visible.  I think the finished result turned out great! Dorky With A Hat 2011-03-29

A few weeks ago we helped someone enter into a contest with Regis and Kelly.  The contest was to submit a video with your morning routine.  Karen thought she had a pretty funny routine and that it would be good to enter.  So we made the video for her.  While she didn't win, we thought it was great of her to try!  She is nice enough to let us share it with you. Enjoy!
