OK, Tressa and John's wedding was quite a special one! The couple loves Halloween, they love to entertain, and they love to party - and their super-fun wedding was a perfect reflection of all of that. There were so many fun aspects of this wedding - the location, the decor, the stationary, the food, the guests in costumes, the various performances - all I can say is WOW! And it all was perfectly coordinated by Megan Keller and her team at
A Kurant Event.Georgetown Ballroom was transformed into a fun and spooky club-like theater with live band, aerialists, drag queen, 80's arcade games, Halloween props, and much more. Their goal of "awesome party to celebrate with all our friends" was sure met.

Tressa and John - one of the most fun wedding couples ever

Tressa's bouquet contained deep red and deep purple roses, calla lilies, and orchids - paired with long black ostrich feathers and large black spider brooches it made a super elegant and spooky Halloween bouquet

How is this for a bouquet handle?

Isn't Tressa's dress simply gorgeous??!!

John's fun boutonniere - complete with a sparkly squirrel brooch ...

The bridal party

The ceremony setup was lush and luxurious - combination of lush red flowers, tall black branches adorned with crystal strands and orchid blooms, lots of crystal candelabras, and red raped velvet curtains in the back. Can it get more dramatic and beautiful?

And here are many more reception details

Later in the evening, Tressa and John changed into 80's style costumes: Tressa into a fabulous Madonna dress, and John into a Tom Cruise outfit from "Risky Business" (complete with no pants, Ray Bans, and candle stick to sing to)

And to top it all off they made their exit in a
Barbie Dream Hearse!

Sarah and Doug got married on a Friday night last July - it was a gorgeous Northwest summer day with a deep blue sky and with balmy temperatures.Their wedding ceremony took place at The Golf Club at Newcastle - the perfect location to enjoy stunning views and a great sunset!
Thank you,
Beth Fleming Photography, for providing us with these beautiful images!!
For Sarah's bouquet we used lush white flowers with a high petal count: hydrangea, garden roses, garden spray roses, Blushing Bride, and silver foliage to create a romantic round hand-tied bouquet. The stems were embellished with clusters of pearl pins.

Isn't Sarah a gorgeous bride!!??

I love this photo below of her walking downstairs for the First Look with Doug.

For the ceremony we created a romantic setting accented with lush arrangements in blush pink, cream, and accents of silver. For the ceremony front we used pedestals in various height and grouped several large arrangements together to achieve a fuller effect. This is a great way to reuse the ceremony decor as centerpieces for the reception tables!

Did I mention the sunsets? They make for the perfect photo ops too!

A lastly, a fun shoot of the bridal party

I loved Tina right from the start! She has such a sweet personality, wonderful style, a great sense of humor, and is of Italian heritage - needless to say our meetings took a while longer than usual: we had so much fun talking, designing and styling her 25th anniversary party at the
Four Seasons Hotel ballroom.
Tina and Kevin envisioned a party with closest friends and family (including of course the original wedding party of 10), with great food and drink, in a beautiful setting. No better place than the Four Seasons Hotel to achieve this goal!
Celebrating their "silver" anniversary, we wanted to incorporate lots of splashes of silver throughout the room. We brought in silver linens and chairs, used silver votive candles and chargers, and even sprinkled in some silver foliage in the floral center pieces. The room sure triggered a big WOW by many and in Tina's words, we "could have not executed (her) vision more perfectly!"
But see for yourself! Thank you again
Azzura, for the stunning images!
We designed a swank cocktail lounge as part of the ballroom, sectioning it off from the dinner area with sheer draped walls. To create a magical illusion of a true wall, the drapes were lit up with strong amber colored up-lighting cans. Large willow trees adorned with crystal strands "softened" to walls and brought texture into the ballroom. Lots of white leather couches with side tables invited the guest to a cocktail in comfort ...

The wall up-lighting, lots of candles, and center piece up-lighting made the whole ballroom aglow in a warm light. It brought out the sparkle from the linens and the crystal strands - what a gorgeous atmosphere!!

For the centerpieces we used mainly lush garden roses, dahlias, hydrangea, orchids, and trailing amaranthus in shades of peach, green, and chocolate. Silver foliage complemented the color of the linens.

This surely was a fun, vibrant, and super elegant summer wedding! I loved working with Lindsey and Matt to create a colorful, bright atmosphere for their wedding day. And I can't think of a more cheerful color scheme than tangerine mixed with raspberry and chartreuse green. I love, love this color combination!
Lindsey and Matt tied the knot last August at
Newcastle Golf Club - it was a warm summer day with a perfect deep blue sky.
For Lindsey's bouquet we combined tangerine and raspberry roses, calla lilies, and chartreuse cymbidium orchids to create a clean round hand-tied bouquet
Annie G Photography captured the day and recently sent me these truly beautiful images

For the ceremony in the Prestwick Tent we created a natural garden-type arch interwoven with greens, branches and bright clusters of flowers

It was the aisle with its large designs of orange, tangerine, raspberry, and pink tones that tied it together and transformed the otherwise all white tent into a lush, brightly colored garden setting

Love this image of the flower girls and ring bearer!

The happy couple ...

... as newly-weds!!!

The black reception table linens made the color of the flowers pop even more! The ceremony flowers were reused on the guest tables on top of tall glass vases - creating a super-elegant atmosphere for the reception in the ballroom.

We designed 3 different table centerpiece styles for the reception - the variation in height and style creates visual interest. The tall arrangements also created focal points in the large ballroom.

The bridal bouquets were reused as decor for the long head table - combined with lots of candles and votives it makes for a beautiful display!

Finally, there is also a beautiful video of their wedding day by
