HR Northwest Photography is a Green Vendor
We recently outfitted our studio with lower energy CFL lights and installed lower powered lighting fixtures that will accomplish the same lighting goals but consume less energy. Our company has also adopted greener methods of conducting business. Our agreements are all online, reducing paper costs and mailing costs. Customers are also able to view and change their account information and wedding information online rather than having to submit forms and documents. We're a small business, but we estimate we reduced our paper output by 10 (500 page) reams in 2009. More efficiencies are on the way in 2010 and beyond. With regards to travel to weddings, each wedding is provided with two photographers, but both photographers carpool to each of the weddings, which saves an estimated 2,500 miles of travel annually. It's the little things, but if everybody does it, it's a big deal.
