So excited to announce our latest wedding is up on Green Wedding Shoes today! The bride, Jillian actually found me after emailing Jenny, the editor there for Event Designers in the NYC area and I'm so glad she did.
From the moment I met Jillian, planning and bringing her ideas to life was truely one of my favorite events ever. She was obsessed with everything vintage, especially when it came to garden accents and Anthropologie! Were we destined to meet or what??
Here's just a few of the amazing photos - I promised to post some more in the coming weeks! Special thanks to my partners in this event, the floral team at Quatre Coeur. Ruth and Amanda were instrumental in planning all the beautiful details of this event from day one. It was a true collaboration between their team and mine!

Don't the holidays seem so long ago? I can't believe how many weeks it's been and that I've yet to post these!
For this year's holiday cards, I decided to do a digital printed card with a tone-on-tone letterpress envelope. I loved how they turned out so much that I used them for our personal cards as well.
I used Red A2 envelopes from Paper Source and 110# white uncoated stock for the cards.

The past couple of weeks have been extremely busy; from taking time to finish up my last event before the baby arrives to trying to make headway on website revisions, I've had barely any time to blog and keep you abreast of what's been going on around here.
The studio has been a busy place and I just completed a stellar event this past weekend - a B'nai Mitzvah for twins (a boy + girl) who grew up in Tokyo.
Can you say awesome?!? I worked on about 14 different items and was on location day of to make sure everything came along as planned. Still waiting on pro-pics to share with you those details, but needless to say it was a huge success!
So in my free time, I've been trying to do some research and planning in my head for what we hope to do with the space that currently houses the Inspired Goodness workspace. It's going to become modified for the little one to have it's own dedicated space in our home. I think this really makes sense for our particular needs since I'll be taking some time off in the beginning and want to make sure that the apartment we love and have worked so hard to make our own is still a place we look forward to remaining in for as long as we can.
I've come up with this plan for the 'nook' which measures a little under 80" wide by 15" deep. It's tiny and a very spacially challenged, but I'm in love with the crib we've decided on and hope in actuality this works out to be a fun little addition to our home.
For furniture, we plan on purchasing the
Oeuf Sparrow Crib in Walnut Finish and possibly doing a tall Ikea
Billy Bookcase with a
door that's glass on top and solid on the bottom. We have a set of large PAX wall units on the opposite wall in the same white color and think that would match nicely. I'm hoping to try to rig up a tension rod on the glass top half of the bookcase interior to store some of the baby's cute clothes. If that doesn't work, we'll put books and toys on display.
For Christmas, I got John the Brooklyn print shown in the center, designed by
Jim Datz Actually I got him a different print of Brooklyn but this one was rolled up with that as a gift for the little one. We just got it framed and it's been the inspiration point for the nook in general. The only other piece we already own is the Ship in a Bottle pillow by
Coral & Tusk.
Decorations would include some vintage wood crates, some owls (we have a large collection and need to include the baby in on those, don't ya think?). I loved the ones shown in my montage - a tutorial for them can be found
here. And we're on the lookout for some matching storage boxes like the red and teal one's I have in my sketch. Maybe
these from Ikea will do the trick.
Lastly, I'm hoping to narrow down from the following fabrics to make
crib sheets and a
crib skirt.

If you don't follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you might have missed my announcement earlier in the week. Dana La Rue, the adorable and funny editor of The Broke Ass Bride is featuring a full week of recaps from our Lucky in Love Wedding of Marquina & Dan. We spend months working with the couple to create a carefully laid out plan of decorations and paper goods that needed to be economical but still beautiful.
In the end, all the decor cost a little under $500 (minus flowers and the centerpieces) and their paper goods came in just around $550.
Post 1 covers the ceremony and has a great DIY Tutorial on how to make your own Chuppah or Wedding Canopy for under $200!
Post 2 covers the reception, which was primarily decorated with rolls and rolls and rolls of ribbon plus the Tissue Paper Garlands I featured a few months back.
