When I came to America I wanted to be different, and cutting edge but most importantly I needed people to understand that money is not the most important part but the giving.

Your ideas and suggestions were so incredible and made such a difference in our day. They made such a difference and really added to the beauty of the day. The music was great and you kept the reception moving in a terrific way even though we were behind time wise. You and your staff were very professional and so easy to work with. Michael and I didn't know until that day that your company did Michael's brother and sisters wedding too. A great tradition to start in the Silverman family!!! Kevin Colangelo is absolutely the best around! We never knew how good a DJ could be until we met Kevin. He was an excellent speaker that night and kept the reception running smooth. He was easy to work with and gave excellent suggestions based on his experience that truly made our reception exceptional. We booked the photo booth as well and it was amazing how much our guests enjoyed having their pictures taken...guests from their 20s-70s were in the booth having a blast! We had almost 300 guests that had a variety of musical interests and Kevin was able to entertain everyone with a range of great music. His staff was courteous and professional. My husband and I had a great time! Our guests were very impressed with Kevin. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Kevin Colangelo is a professional in every way who went above and beyond what we expected to help us make our wedding day and reception a day we will never forget. We scheduled a meeting with Kevin on a recommendation of a family member after our original DJ company we had hired for our wedding went out of business suddenly. With only a couple of months before the wedding, we were out our deposit and unsure where to turn. We were very lucky Kevin was available. He not only recommended ways to recover our deposit, but also gave us a discount on his services given our situation. His generosity and assistance made such a difference to us.
Kevin was very helpful in helping us plan our reception, the timing, feel, lighting in the reception room, etc. He even met us at the wedding site a few weeks before the wedding to help diagram everything. On the day of the wedding, Kevin arrived early in order to ensure all of his equipment was ready and tested well before any guests arrived. His sound system, lighting, photo booth, and staff were all top notch. Kevin was great during our reception at helping us keep to our scheduled timeline, keeping the guests entertained, and playing a great selection of music. Kevin is a true entertainer who has worked enough weddings to know what works and what doesn't and to read the feel of your reception and guests and make changes on the fly if necessary.
We would not hesitate to recommend Kevin to any couple who is looking for a high quality DJ to make your wedding day even better. We had numerous people remark during and after the wedding on Kevin's work. We have pictures of nearly everyone at the wedding out on the dance floor because of Kevin and we have a great keepsake of hilarious photo booth pictures too. A great DJ can really enhance any wedding reception and Kevin Colangelo is the best in the business.

Without ever meeting Kevin in person until the day of our actual wedding, my wife and I booked Kevin during the wedding planning process after speaking to him one-time on the phone only. Kevin was so thoughtful and walked us through everything that he would do for the reception. He really listened to what we wanted and ensured us that he would make that happen (and he did not disappoint). Furthermore, about a week before the wedding, we had a 2 hour conference call where we reviewed every last detail. Needless to say, before ever meeting Kevin or hearing his music, I knew we had the right guy.
Now on to the fun stuff....Kevin was an absolutely amazing DJ. Full stop. When I say that every song he played seemed like the perfect fit, I really mean it (my friends/family agreed as well because they could not believe what a great DJ we had). After getting a feel from us for the type of music we wanted to have, he started out with some classic oldies to get the dancing started. This was earlier in the evening so it was great for our older guests. But by the end of the night, he literally had the place dancing like crazy (mostly me and my wife's friends at this point). But the way that he transitioned from song to song and MC'd the event as perfect. Also, I am from outside of New Orleans so I wanted to make sure I had some of my hometown music, which Kevin was able to make happen as well.
If you are looking for a DJ that isn't cheesy, knows how to MC an amazing party and is a true professional, then search no further. I strongly recommend Kevin for his services. If you are not convinced by recommendation, then I would suggest you call him to get a sense for what a good guy he is and what a fantastic DJ he can be for you!

Let me just say that Kevin Colangelo was the best DJ I have ever seen. I have been to plenty of weddings and other events that had DJ's, and never have I made or heard a comment about how good the DJ was. At my wedding, I had at least 20 people come up to me and ask where I found him, and how amazing he was. While the service cost more than the other DJ services I checked out, it was well worth the money and Kevin was excellent to work with.
Kevin was very professional and is extremely knowledgeable about weddings. He had numerous suggestions to make our wedding better and we used many of them. Most DJs show up and play. Kevin helped us get the most out of our wedding. He showed up 5 hours before the reception to set up and has extremely high quality equipment.
Kevin was wonderful to work with during the wedding, he played everything that was requested and had a great surprise song for the finale.

Kevin, not just his company, were to the UTMOST in professionalism. I had a VERY complex and difficult wedding to accommodate-- an all-day outdoor event that was bilingual. His charm was appreciated, yet he was able to dictate to me what we needed to do to make the day run smoothly without acting or sounding pushy. I can almost say that I underpaid such a fine performance. Kevin, his assistant, and his company are your guide to a flawless, perfect day. Review: From my first phone coversation with Kevin, to the meeting in his office, to the wedding day… everything was absolutely amazing. Every detail was so wonderfully planned and executed to perfection. Family and friends ranted and raved about how involved he was with our guests. Bat Mitzvah 4.24.10 Review

Every aspect of our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah celebration was flawlessly executed. Kevin and his team of professionals kept the kids and the adults entertained and involved the entire evening. The orchestration of the evening was timed perfectly and all the details handled. Kevin’s equipment is impressive – everything from the sound to the lights is top notch. The dancers were friendly, professional and made all the kids feel comfortable. Leading up to the event, Kevin kept us on schedule. The on-line tools, especially the playlist feature, allowed our daughter to feel that it really was her party while allowing parental oversight of the selections. There is nothing we would have changed with the event and extend our most sincere gratitude to Kevin for his professionalism and partnership in planning / executing our special occasion.

Cazenovia Fashion Show 2010 2010-05-03
What a pleasure to be involved and asked to supply LED lighting for the Fashion Show at Cazenovia College on Saturday April 24th 2010:
I was approached to supply over 55 LED fixtures including 40 American DJ Megapixel bars for 2 runways!
40 Megapixel bars to buy would be about $12,000 dollars and most DJ services only have about 2-4 of them for their events!
To my amazement Bob of the Great Music Company in Syracuse had about 30 of these!
Getting together with Bob and working on this project was a pleasure, and all I can say is that Bob English is a very talented, knowledgeable, kind man who I had the honor to work with on this event!
The Great Music Company in Syracuse is a Professional DJ Service that I highly recommend to anyone, and meeting Teesh, the CO Owner of the Great Music Company was great as she is such a nice person and has many years experience in the industry.
I hope to work with GMC again in the future!
